    Pratap (Sharad Kapoor) worships his maataji Ranimaa (Rakhee) -- a severe heart patient who believes her cure lies in her son's marriage. So, he and Pooja (Suman Ranganathan) wed but all is not well.

    The manager (Pramod Moutho) of Ranimaa's property and her cousin, wants to grab her estate, necessitating Pooja and Pratap's death. So, he organises a business trip to Europe where Pratap dies in a car accident but he makes Pooja promise not to tell.

    Meanwhile, the manager has produced a Pratap hum shakal, Ranjeet. But... Ranimaa is not conned and Pooja runs in to Prem (her ex-lover) who is now a famous lawyer. Is the plot falling into place? No. But the film is falling before it can stand in the box office.
