If we conduct surgical strikes on terror outfits in Pak or POK, it will result in full fledged war. Kargil war and many others have been fought without any conclusion or benefits; only casualties were noted. US prevented Pak from use of nuclear arms during Kargil war even though Pak Army mobilised it for use! If that was not averted, the result could have been catastrophic. We have 2 options right now: (1) strangle Pak with economic santions by mounting pressure on interenational community after sharing evidence of mumbai attack master minds. (2) Give pak their own medicine i.e., encourage Indian groups to conduct militant attacks inside pak and provide intellegenc, funds, ammunition, etc,. Thus defeat Pak in a proxy war they started with another well planned proxy war.

For I am not sure if our politicians are really interested in doing so..that's the million $ question. Something lies hidden behind it all, I suspect for this continued odd behaviour on all our Delhi leaders' part of any colour; though I know better than to expect much from our any leaders. And the way Chidambaram was trying to take credit for the economic progress ! Congress had nothing to do with it, it is all achieved by the industry on its own only no hindrance from the Centre, that's their only contribution I would say. Congress! Bah!!
