Malegaon, October 2:: Two days after a bomb blast killed five Muslims in Maharashtra’s communally sensitive town of Malegaon and briefly sparked mob violence, the state police had said on Wednesday that it was nervous about namaaz on Eid as tens of thousands of devout were expected to gather and emotions could once   ....Read more

Tackle Terrorism with loveBy: Jamsheed Basha | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:22:31 PM Reply | Forward We need inter-religious dialogue to solve the menace of terrorism.
Human VoiceBy: Sanity | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:21:11 PM Reply | Forward Please find a solution that will make the life our brothers and children SAFE. Do we agree that blasts and killing is bad? What is happening to stop it?Do we want a volatile and unpredictable future for us?
Act responsibly than giving speechBy: vivek | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:07:35 PM Reply | Forward Deeds speaks louder than words. Past proves 100% that the whole world is under trouble due to the Muslim World. All the bomb blast investigations always pointed towards almost 99.99% muslim involvement. No more proof needed. Its time to act stronglyj.
be patient....By: xtreme indian | Friday , 3 Oct '08 14:07:26 PM Reply | Forward if u ll see, in each religion, all communal violence occur due to fault of some grp of people ..but the victims r innocent common men.in christ, due to some converters ,in islam n hindu, its due to xtremists.but they get escaped 4m this complexity..so der shud b a mutual understandin betn all religion in order to hv a peace leaving.
just blaming muslims isnt enoughBy: israfil baluwala | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:31:59 PM Reply | Forward No innocents should be harassedle. People say violence is never condemned by muslim clerics. Malegaon Imam condemned the blasts. But why blame the muslims for all the trouble. Whats happening in Orissa is for everyone to see. Why dont we have any Hindu leader or preists condemning the violence and killing of innocent people. These news never make important headlines.
OrissaBy: KVSKumar | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:59:24 PM Reply | Forward I despise bigotry of all sorts, be it Hindu or Muslim or Christian. Also I believe that Jesus Christ did not say this "Convert your neighbour into Christianity and then only love him". So it is no one's right to convert any one. Could you please tell why these Christian missionaries are not active in Muslim dominated areas as well as Muslim countries? And if they come there what will be the reaction? Let me conclude with these words of my mentor : "Let man belong to any caste or religion; what matters is his/her inner purity and character". Do you accept this?
Orissa- responseBy: Raj | Friday , 3 Oct '08 14:54:42 PM Reply | Forward Do you know that your question at the end of the passage is as attempt to convert. We believe in outer purity also. Christ taught to love. Why do you kill them, because they do not accept you views. Tell your mentor to mentor you little more before you try to make converts for him.
absolutelyBy: xtreme indian | Friday , 3 Oct '08 14:12:20 PM Reply | Forward u r rite...its just fault of dat stupid missionaries..wen i was@kandhamal in my childhood,i hv witnessed such conversions in the name of god.so in this behalf such converters r resposible for on goin communal violence al over india.
Terrorism and its fall outBy: KVSKumar | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:04:07 PM Reply | Forward The imam should not have stopped just at shedding some tears. He should have also declared that the likes of Bin Laden, Al Zawahiri, and those who issues fatwas against the established laws of the land as "Khafirs", traitors and enemies of all humanity. Having said it I also admit the fact there is a crying need for speedy trials, especially in cases of suspected acts of terrorism. Innocents should not be arrested anc confined endlessly. If speedy trials and justice are ensured everyone will and will have to co-operate.
Muslim Clerics responsibleBy: bsp | Friday , 3 Oct '08 12:20:32 PM Reply | Forward These Muslim clerics instead of preaching about Quran principles are sowing enemity seed in muslim hearts and enrage them to declare war on other religion people in the name of allah. Quran will say the same as in Bhagavadgeetha that killing people in the name of god is not the thing to do. Muslim clerics should go through the Quran and try to imbibe in their life first before preaching to others
malegaon bomb blastsBy: simon fernandes | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:13:13 PM Reply | Forward hindu fanatics should have the honesty to condemn these blaststrageting minorities has become fashionable in indiachristians are facing gebocide in orissa
Are the Christian honest?By: Sam | Friday , 3 Oct '08 13:32:05 PM Reply | Forward Do the Indian christians have the honesty to admit that they convert poor hindus by offering them money and other benefits? Till that happens, please keep your appeal to yourself. At least majority of the hindus do not support prosecution of minoroties but unfortunately, I am yet to come across a muslim or a christian who accepts their share of the blame.
and will hindus take responsibilityBy: neeraj | Friday , 3 Oct '08 14:44:33 PM Reply | Forward and will hindus take responsibility for mistreating the dalits for centuries and even after 60 years of independence there are places where a dalit can't enter , why blame others for conversion lets first set our house in order and I'm sure people won't convert
conversions out of faith?By: observer | Friday , 3 Oct '08 14:12:24 PM Reply | Forward Look at the history of conversions to Christianity in Goa and parts of Kerala by the Portuguese a few centuries ago.Forcible conversions were the order of the day else choose banishment from your homeland!Large numbers chose to convert and saved their lives and lands. But wait a minute....for those who chose to go back to the Hindu faith, special treatment was the norm....those who went back to the Hindu faith after conversion were labelled 'revertidos' and were practically sought out, imprisoned and burnt at the stake as an example to other new converts to toe the line.So much for the love and holy nature of this religion!Haaaah!!!!
CrapBy: pari | Friday , 3 Oct '08 12:15:09 PM Reply | Forward So many bombs have exploded in the past couple months where were these Imams. Not one of them condum this. Now they are feeling the head.Wht do you mean by innoncent muslim? Unless they are questiond how will you wether they involved or notLet us give craps to such staged managed dram
Imam's speachBy: Ajith Kumar | Friday , 3 Oct '08 12:00:21 PM Reply | Forward I respect the emotion and real anger/anguish shown by the Imam.He is right in saying that Police have a habit of taking many-including innocents- to jail for interrogation etc wheneveran attack happens. With great respect may I point out to the noblecleric that it is his and the community's duty toguide the young onesand the little ones away from negative thinking about India and that it is only through real education they can achieve progress in the country.Dr.Kalam rose against all prejudices and weak financial back ground androse to become an International Authority on rocketry and nuclear energy and became the President of the Nation. He lived in a Brahmin dominated place-a fact which did not deter him inhis pursuit for glorytheir goals of
Justifying violenceBy: observer | Friday , 3 Oct '08 11:53:18 AM Reply | Forward What is the press talking about.......instead of trouble, the police got to see tears? Read the article carefully,Mufti Mohammed Ismail said,'the community that can put you on a pedestal can also take out your funeral!' These are threatening words by any stretch of imagination. And what does he have to say about innocent citizens being killed by terrorists who profess his faith? He is worried only about terror suspects from his community being picked up by the police. What does he expect,an equal number of the majority community should also be picked up?Fact is the authorities are cowed down by such blatant one sided statements and end up releasing even those against whom there is strong evidence. This leads to even more terror attacks since the perpetrators are emboldened to do anything and the more gory and heinous the better.Looks like the minority is going to take revenge for the Guj riots in perpetuity till there is no India left or an Emirate of India is established!
The communalistsBy: Samar | Friday , 3 Oct '08 11:34:13 AM Reply | Forward Their threatening tone reflects their medievalists mindset. Why don't these folks leave for their land, which they created for themselves in 1947?Pakistan really deserves these people of "peace."
The communalistsBy: Cynthia | Friday , 3 Oct '08 14:22:42 PM Reply | Forward Is it any wonder India is suffering today? U are more communal than the terrorists!! When "your" people go to Islamic lands to earn their living are they discriminated against because of being Hindu? Or when they go to Christian lands to settle
Misunderstood minority?By: indian | Friday , 3 Oct '08 11:32:32 AM Reply | Forward Let us clarify one point at at time...is it not true that the vast majority of Muslims had voted for Pakistan in the interim govt prior to 1947?After Pak was a reality, most chose to stay on,citing Nehru and Gandhi's reassurances as an excuse. However,I say the present generation of Indian Muslims have been born after 1947 and it would be unfair to target them on this point, but facts cannot be altered. As far as the allegation of being communal is concerned,it is a fact the minority community always thinks in terms of 'us' and 'them' further contributing to the alienation from the mainstream. The us and them ideas are drilled into the head of every child at home which is a fact.Lastly, is it not a fact that 99% of those involved in terror acts belong to the minority community.Tell me large numbers of Christians,Hindus,Buddhists,Sikhs too have serious grievances against the govt, but the overwhelming majority of them choose to use legal and civil means to rectify the problems.Think again!
