Sad state of Hinduism! By: HinduDharma | Tuesday , 30 Sep '08 16:09:56 PM Reply | Forward Nearly 80% of Indians are Hindus. Our government provides subsidies to muslim pilgrimage from majority hindu tax payers money. While hundreds and thousands of hindus are dying every year on important pilgrimage. People lost their senses to think and vote. It is time to elect a government that cares about our heritage and culture first.
Temle StampedeBy: Pasupathy | Tuesday , 30 Sep '08 16:05:50 PM Reply | Forward Yes! Our civilisation is very ancient. But can we boast of a high degree of civic sense and consideration for others. Do we need a police man or military personel to ensure we follow a queue be it a bus stand, railway platform or a place of worship? The way our motorists, bike riders follow traffic rules is to be seen to be believed? Unless we develop a sense of self discipline and consideration for the fellow indian , we are bound to suffer such avoidable calamities. by the way I am a hard core Indian.

StampedeBy: Pasupathy | Tuesday , 30 Sep '08 15:49:21 PM Reply | Forward When we develope a sense of consderation for others such calamities can be avoided. We as nation have scant respect for forming a queue and be considerate to children, elderly people.Look at the traffic sense of even educated lot in the cities? Why feel bad when some one points out. Look at the reaction you get when you question someone jumping a queue or the redlight signal. Our ciilisation is very ancient and much bigger crowds gathered during Kumbhmelas in ancient times. How come only now such incidents happen in sickening regularity. I am a hard core Indian but I am anguished by lack of consideration for fellow citizen, be it at a place of worship, or bus station, cenema hall or public roads.

When will people of india become civil???By: Anon | Tuesday , 30 Sep '08 11:10:36 AM Reply | Forward Whats up with India and hindus in india? Why cant they be more civil?
Out of your mind - people to be civil?By: Dinesh | Tuesday , 30 Sep '08 17:08:23 PM Reply | Forward One of the posts below questions the civility of the people of India and particularly hindus. May I ask what is rest of the so called world doing in terms of being civil? Also it is so immature to point a finger at India and hindus for the mishap, in a country with 100 times more people than the US there will be issues. I agree, governments have to step up and implement preventive measures. However Hindus and particularly Indians are far more civil than Anon and his counterparts..at the least no one in India questions civility when more than a 100 people are dead! Shame on you Anon!

No one blame the DC and the Govt officials for the incident. They just blame the temple authority. What the Hell the DC is doing in his district when 100's of citizens were killed.
