Why should the Congress own up responsibility after 24 years?. The bereaved widows who saw the horrors of their near and dear ones being killed had been either declared as hostile or inconsistent and made to withdraw their testimony. By the sheer delay of convicting the culprits the outrage has been compounded in a cynical manner. The Congress will carry the sin forever on its collective concience. And not even Mr Rahul's apology will wash this sin. The secular nature of the Congress has been dented by its purely cynical alliances. It is time Mr Rahul stopped befooling the Sikhs by these statements.
