Another One Bites The DustBy: JG | Thursday , 18 Jun '09 20:50:11 PM Reply | Forward I could vomit when I read the degree of lame stupidity and indulgent tripe written in this section. Hasan Gafoor is one of a few incorruptable officers serving in the IPS. He was made Commissioner because he was a damned good cop, leader and he is clean. However, like all police forces pre-26/11 funds for development and upgrading were not forthcoming from MHA. In the early hours of 26/11 Gafoor lost some of his top commanders. As the CP he should have stayed safe in his HQ, imagine the worst, 26/11 if he was taken out also ! With no field commanders or intel he went to ground zero and tried to re-assemble his already beaten force, with what poor resources he and his troops had, and they did a damned great job containing and holding the fort till the cavalry arrived. Gafoor is an unseen hero, victimised by politicians, a scape goat. Yet another great loss of 26/11. So stop malingering with malice, wake up and weep, realise it or not, Gafoor's departure is another great loss for Mumbai

Start the blame game with the Navy... then the Coast guards....the input was received... were they sleeping...then the mumbai police should take the blame... Let go further... a lot of experts died..but they should have been a bit more modest and not brash in their approach... the fights today - unlike before has to be directed from behind... Do not be Rambo style... the best part is nobody new what they were up against... If the battle continues for several days and night ... any soldier will need a wink.... so Mr. Gafoor was found resting near Trident... come on be fair...When the person at the top is honest and the people below do not get a chance to make hay... so they say he was not good...And the reason why 26.11 is remembered bcoz the rich and famous were involved. Do you know how many people are killed by Naxals in INDIA alone...????

He should have had leadership experience to deal with the situation. Government is rejecting independent commission report line by line. Government is not even publishing the report, but promotes the Police officer! Government is supposed to be “for the people, by the people and of the people.” This government is cheating the people. If they think that they are serving the Muslim community, they are wrong. They are insulting it.
