Not safe in the land of OZ!By: Shyam Chabra | Wednesday , 8 Jul '09 6:24:53 AM Reply | Forward Indians would do well to heed the advice of those willing toinform them of the true situation in Australia. It is high time that the usual sales pitch from visiting politicians, education representatives and the rest who are interested infinancial gain should be ignored.Police in Australia are unable to provide sufficient protection to the average citizen and are deployed in revenue raising duties for eachstate. These are almost bankrupt.Do you believe that Australia,a country that is unable to supply its own students with courses will willingly invite Indians to takeplaces in its universities? Can you imagine this happening in India?Local students here are refused entry because theyare unable to pay upfront fees and the place is given to a foreign fee paying student! And you thought Australia was awealthy, egalitarian nation?Don't be fooled any longer.
