New Delhi, October 17: : Attacking Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee for her "opposition" to Nano project, senior CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said West Bengal has been deprived of industrialisation and people will assess her politics. Cummis predicamentBy: V.V.Viswanadh | Friday , 17 Oct '08 19:46:55 PM Reply | Forward Well said, Yatchri. But realize that this has been the sworn policy of the Commis in West Bengal for the last 30 odd years. You built your political base in WB precisely on negativism towards investment by capitalists, you have no moral authority to critisize Mamata. She is trying out your own trick for political gain.
Yechuri on MamataBy: J.M.Manchanda | Friday , 17 Oct '08 19:42:56 PM Reply | Forward Who will relocate the Left, which played the same kind of politics for decades and threw out industires out of Bengal? Though Mamata actions are indefensible, yet Yechuri's words sound like a devil quoting the scriptures. One hopes the people of Bengal will be able to see through such double-speak and chose leaders who can think above petty politics.
Such grandsatnding, is a joke.By: hard talk | Friday , 17 Oct '08 19:15:17 PM Reply | Forward Such pathological, bile churning gobshiet smacks of abominable hypocrisy. Sanctimonious hypocrits has to be deleted from the face of India,so that humanity could develop and progress.Even the primates are more savvy and smart, when it comes to investment and economic developments.
West Bengal is very unfortunate even in Indian standardBy: jay | Friday , 17 Oct '08 18:53:16 PM Reply | Forward Mamata once again proved that majority of Indian politicians, including her, are worthless and work against the interest of people, the state and the country. Majority of her “movements” end up hurting people associated with that issue and proceed towards dead end without any benefit to anyone (not even her party). No wonder that highly autocratic (she can not tolerate any opposition opinion within her party) and whimsical lady has only one seat in Loksabha and hopefully that will not be there after next election. Her adamant and directionless agitation regarding Singur and Nano once again proved that our Communist state govt has ruined all law and order machinery in last few decades. That’s why anyone (even a small group of people, local club etc) do not hesitate to severely disrupt public life with least regard to civil administration.
Bengalis and MamataBy: N.S.Vijay | Friday , 17 Oct '08 18:18:10 PM Reply | Forward What did you do for industrialization in 30 years you have ruled,Mr Yechury?? How come you have started speaking a new language all of a sudden? I can see,you have changed your tune only becuase, people have become more aspirational. This would have thrown you out had you not changed the language you speak!!We have seen the plight all your comrades in the erstwhile Soviet Block. All communists are on the run, no one like to speak about them.I have found common people vow, never to let them in again ever. This will also be your fate, if you don't change. I think some wiser sense has prevailed even among your fraternity. These changes are obviously quite cosmetic and West Bengal specific. At all India level you still follow the failed ideology, with which you are so familiar. I hope WB as well as all India is rid of your types for all times
Culprits of BengalBy: Manish Bakshi | Friday , 17 Oct '08 18:15:10 PM Reply | Forward yes mamta banerjee is to blame for the relocation of the Nano project but there are lots of Mamtas and lots of such projects. She has done her part by gaining media coverage and hogging headlines but what is pitiable is the govt. of the state. It is shameful that hw an elected govt having constitutional backing cannot take any action against these kind of terrorists Yes These are the new Terrorists Of Economy and Development.
WB, Commies, Mamta and MisfitsBy: Bharatiya | Friday , 17 Oct '08 18:02:23 PM Reply | Forward WOW--now commies want Mamta to be relocated--Well may be what the pwople of WB should do is to to relocate ALL COMMIES and Mamta and her symptheirs to CHINA--where all of them will be shot/hanged for activities against common welfare and industrilisation of State. In any policy of bringing industries to any place on this earth, there will always be some people who will be hurt any many more will be helped.
Relocate CPM out of BENGALBy: Bhagat | Friday , 17 Oct '08 17:32:04 PM Reply | Forward Taking the logic of Mr.Yechury slightly back into time, and apply it. The result: Bengal people want to relocate CPM out of WB
let the Bengalis choose , progress or regressBy: M.M.NAAZIM | Friday , 17 Oct '08 16:58:44 PM Reply | Forward DEAR EDITOR , IT IS BETTER FOR BENGALIS TO FORGET SINGUR AND LOOK FORWARD TO RE-INDUSTRIALISE WB , TO SURGE AHEAD , AND CATCH UP WITH OTHER INDUSTRIALISED STATES , CREATE MORE JOB OPPORTUNITIES , ERADICATE POVERTY , AND GROW ECONOMICALLY . THIS WILL STOP MIGRATION OF BENGALIS . NOW IT IS FOR THE PEOPLE OF BENGAL TO DECIDE THEIR FUTURE WHETHER TO SUPPORT CPI-M OR SHUNT MAMATA OUT OF BENGAL’S POLITICS . CERTAINLY NANO COULD HAVE BROUGHT PROSPERITY AND FAME TO WB WHICH HAS BEEN DEPRIVED BY THIS LADY . AT LEAST NOW EDUCATED BENGALIS SHOULD COME FORWARD TO CHANGE THE COURSE OF THEIR STATE AND MARCH TOWARDS PROGRESS . YOU HAVE BRAINS CAN YOU DRAW SOME GUTS TO DO THIS ????
BENGALIS...By: SUSANTA CHAKRABORTY | Friday , 17 Oct '08 16:51:49 PM Reply | Forward MR. YECHURY HAS MASTERED THE ART OF DOUBLE SPEAK. THIS IS A PRACTICE WHICH COMRADES LEARN WHILE IN COLLEGE UNIONS. AFTER METHODICALLY INSTALLING CPM CADRES IN ALL GOVT. DEPARTMENTS MR. YECHUIRY WANTS YOUTHS OF BENGAL TO THROW OUT MAMATA BANERJEE. TECHNICALLY ITS THE CPM WHICH WILL THROW HER OUT. GOOD LUCK MR. YECHURY AND CELEBRATE LEFT FRONTS 5O YEARS IN WEST BENGAL WITH ONLY HIGH RISE BUILDINGS AND NO INDUSTRY.
