New Delhi, October 17: : Attacking Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee for her "opposition" to Nano project, senior CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said West Bengal has been deprived of industrialisation and people will assess her politics. "If Mamata Banerjee has succeeded in relocating Nano project from Bengal, pe  ....Read more

CPI (M) VS MamtaBy: Kadir Azaiz | Friday , 17 Oct '08 15:28:06 PM Reply | Forward Yes, Mamta played poor politics and she has joined the leauge of other 3rd rated politicians. However, CPI(M) should be happy with the act of Mamta as she has just behaved the way they (CPI (M)) has behaved for the last 30 years of (mis)rule. Mr. Yucheri should and his China oriented party should introspect instead.
SinghalBy: Bhupendra | Friday , 17 Oct '08 15:22:46 PM Reply | Forward Thank you Mr Yetchury for your comments. You are absolutely right about Mamata Banerjee. But hope that same yardstick can be applied to your party and every communits apart from Buddhadev Bhattacarya should be relocated out of India (prefeably to China).
ExportBy: Alok Bhattacharyya | Friday , 17 Oct '08 15:06:08 PM Reply | Forward Along with Mamata please export Prakash Karat to China.
Nano ProjectBy: trishankupune | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:52:30 PM Reply | Forward This, coming from Yechury is a bit of a surprise considering that it was his glorious party that initially started the downward spiral in West Bengal's industrialisation. One might remind Yechury of the gheraos, strikes, bandhs and other disruptive protest mechanisms that have been sharpened by his party into a well oiled machine. It is because of these practices adopted by his party that politics in WB is in such a state and taht the political atmosphere is so very vicious. I think the time has now come for young bengal to rise up once again throw all such political trash (Mamata, Yechury et al) to the garbage dump that they belong to.
Nano ProjectBy: N. Kurup | Friday , 17 Oct '08 16:03:06 PM Reply | Forward During 31 years (mis)rule the Left Front Government of which the CPI(M) is the leading party has ruined the State. In fact they have taken the state to backward. The same Government ordered to stop teaching of English upto Class VI in Government/Aided Schools, thereby spoiling the future of thousands of students. They opposed Computer in Offices but now the same Government has provided Laptop to even the MLAs in the State at Taxpayer's money. Moreover thousands of Industrial establishments have either closed or shifted to other States and the land left by such units has been utilized for building multi-storied buildings. When everything has lost, now the CPI(M) leaders want to give job to the younger generation. What about the hapless workers who lost job due to militant trade union?
siita ram yechury about mamtaBy: inderjeet | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:51:42 PM Reply | Forward mr yechury you should look into yourself first what were you doing with congress in delhi till now before you called yourself that you have been cheated by congress
Funny!By: Neil | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:43:39 PM Reply | Forward Its sounds funny when CPM talk about industrialisation! Life has come full circle and they are getting back for what they did 30 years ago... Both CPM and Mamata are two sides on one coin... Destruction politics!
Commies Need to be NationalistBy: ANon | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:37:41 PM Reply | Forward WB government did not act with determination in dealing with Mamta. The Commies also resorted to some illegitimate and immoral deals with the opposition, like that of throwing Taslima Nasreen out of the state to please the Muslims involved in the Singur agitation. They have allowed the Singur agitation to be politically highjacked by Mamta, they should have instead tried to expose Mamta and her backend (Sonia) thouroughly - which did not (or could not). It will be better if the Commies get their act together in the political domain. They need to shed some of their inhibitions and prejudices - if they wish to exploit their full political potential. Most importantly some policy changes are also needed in their outlook, they need to be more nationalist.
Communist double standardsBy: R Nair | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:36:59 PM Reply | Forward That's funny, the only two states that are backward for no reason are Kerala and WB. Yechuri and his band of nay-sayers should be banned before mamata, coz they thought everyone to oppose progress.
r nairBy: yohan | Friday , 17 Oct '08 16:15:58 PM Reply | Forward hey you, who told you kerala and WB are backward. probably you are the most backward person who cant understand reality. kerala is no.1 in many respects and even central govt document vouches for that. idiotism cant be to this extent. industrially may be lacking due to constriants of space. ashamed of you being a keralite.
No 1 ?????????By: Maran | Friday , 17 Oct '08 18:03:05 PM Reply | Forward Kerala is number one in sucide also. Why keralites are leaving their number state 1 and going for job opportunites to other states and coutries.
CPM and KeralaBy: Varghese | Friday , 17 Oct '08 18:02:31 PM Reply | Forward The progress of Kerala is inspite of communists and not because of them. Credit goes to the enterprising spirit of Keralites,Gulf workers and community organisations. If it is due to communists, what happened to Bengal? Why it remains a very backword state after 31 years of communist misrule?
@ yohanBy: amit | Friday , 17 Oct '08 18:01:25 PM Reply | Forward the keralites are GDP wise backward. please check your stats, just because every one in the state know how to sign their name doesnt mean it is forward, there is less productivity in kerala thats all it means.. not bringing any shame to kerala, tourism is good but no industries and farming out put comparitively is less i.e. in terms of GDP/output per person
cummunits double standardsBy: guru | Friday , 17 Oct '08 17:47:25 PM Reply | Forward under stand what Nair ment and comment, topic was on industries and he talked about inducstries
Relocate leftist to chinaBy: tarun | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:32:32 PM Reply | Forward What about you in other parts of India?
