Deadly confusion

Commandos do not normally address press conferences. Like spies, special operations units are supposed to work in the shadows: after the daring, successful, rescue of Israeli hostages in Entebbe in the ’70s, the leader of the rescue mission was persuaded to speak, but was never pleased about ha  ....Read more

Poor speak skills of Manmohan, Pranab, Patil By: Sarath | Saturday , 29 Nov '08 7:15:29 AM Reply | Forward Everyone felt disgusted to see PM's speech is so pathetic, he can't speak properly and un-audible he always says "external forces" instead of naming Pak, he dont have guts to claim pak's name ori think he want to mention Pak and China but dont want to mention china name, same for Patil, his speech also so timid, he seemed to be scared, talking slowly. finally pranab speech sounds worst, and also his English is pathetic. I was surprised, how can he become a Foreign minister? such a high profile post if he's talking like that foreign delegates either they may sleep or try to avoid him. Compared to that I saw Pak's foreign minister, his speech is excellent and he covered Pak's mess in India wisely. After looking at Indian leaders speeches, we better to elect atleast some oratory skillset people rather than these dumb politicians. We don't want soft, dumb, spineless Phd in Economics from Cambridge or Oxford (Mr.Manmohan this is for you only), instead of that we just want ordinary educatio
speak skills.By: santosh.s | Monday , 1 Dec '08 19:50:40 PM Reply | Forward Sarath has forgotten to mention our loud mouth Lalooji.Surely no body can match his oratory skills or laughter skills. In these sad times we should have some comic relief!
Confusion in commandBy: yogi | Saturday , 29 Nov '08 6:43:49 AM Reply | Forward As usual Guptaji is showing the `definiteness of ignorant' and his his biases.
Public RelationsBy: Sana | Saturday , 29 Nov '08 6:27:48 AM Reply | Forward WE do need a lesson in public relations, these are matters of extreme delicacy and everyone is talking, Patil with his ridiculous statements, Manmohan and a horde of others. This is bad for the future investigations. We have to have a government spokesman giving out the general info and not all the people that are involved. We just are handling it professionally, the media do not help by reporting things without any evidence, we have to look at foreign papers to actually receive the valid news. This is shameful. When is everyone going to learn. There is truly chaos on all fronts. All Indians need leson in profesionalism. Even the educated ones, especially the educated ones, as they should know better, but they just seem to not care.
Bias against the armed forcesBy: Ranjit Sandhu | Saturday , 29 Nov '08 3:46:28 AM Reply | Forward I am surprised at the writer for having such a bias against the armed forces when we all know that it was the army(the NSG soldiers are part of the army),navy and the police who layed down their lives for the country fighting these terrorists these last two days, but just because the MARCOS spoke to the media, the writer lashes out at them , i think it is in very bad taste!
Playing the media warBy: Vijai | Saturday , 29 Nov '08 21:02:34 PM Reply | Forward The NSG is our last line of defense in critical offensive emergencies. So, I agree with Shekhar, that they dont need to act like muppets on a show, but stay the silent shadowy figures that exude confidence and strength. If you listen to JK Dutt, you understand why they should not talk to the media. They are unprepared to do so and they lose their aura of invincibility by doig what they are not trained to do.
