Delhi encounter hero dies, 2 militants killed

Delhi encountersBy: akundi | Friday , 19 Sep '08 13:55:00 PM Reply | Forward as long as vote bank politics continue - terrorism cannot be tackled. a terrorist should be treated just as a terrorist and the fight against terrorism should also be viewed just as that and not as an instrument against minorities (read muslims). a terrorist is a terrorist and does not belong to any religion...say our secular leaders. how come the same did not apply to Afzal guru. Ghulam nabi azad (congressman) argued that a muslim must not be hanged during the holy month of ramadan as it sends wrong signals to the community. does this mean that afzal guru is a muslim as well as a terrorist (like muslim and terrorist are different names of the same act). Actually the entire muslim community should ex-communicate afzal guru from islam and should call for his hanging - as he is no longer practising the peaceful tenets of islam. any takers....secularists ?!?!?!?

Continued kid glove treatment of terrorism emanating from Kashmir is encouraging the zealots to target rest of India at will.A section of the media is seen brazenly facilitating the 'political makeover' of the Kashmiri pan Islamist terror commanders some of whom self admittedly ferried weapons from their patron country, regarded as the epicenter of world terrorism today, to unleash mayhem in India. Even the civil society remained unmoved when the terrorists selectively killed Hindu Pandits in the most brutal manner in the streets of Kashmir to hound them out 19 years ago. If it had taken place in a mosque, the police shd say so and tell the MUslims that their men had defaced the place of worship by hiding there and that they have cleaned the place of worship for the believers to enter. Stand up and face the brute. That is the way to fight terror; do not hide behind niceities or behind the veil of vote-bank politics. Niceities may be good for diplomacy but not for fighting terrorists in the war theatre. By the by, why all terrorists are Muslims?

But, it speaks volumes about their ineptness when they allowed two terrorists to escape. Is the Delhi terrain so ravenous that they can not seal off the entire block?
