Poor Middle Class of IndiaBy: GURU | Friday , 17 Oct '08 17:44:32 PM Reply | Forward So called Indian Middle class is the poorest people and may be starving. But the truth do not come in open because middle class people try to save their dignity in society by hiding their sufferings. Millions of middle class people may be sleeping hungry after 60 years of independence. There are millions of poor people among so called higher casts, they dont get any government help because all government benefits are earmarked only for so called low casts instead of economical standing of the family. Indian middle class is truly deprived, ignored and victimized by vote bank politics of Indian government and Indian constitution.
UNITED NATION A PIMP OF MONEY LAUNDERERSBy: DA | Friday , 17 Oct '08 17:03:17 PM Reply | Forward Poverty is because our of chor business men, industrialist and politicians. They advertise dreams and do nothing. See prominent business men who run airlines and cannot pay the bills of Indian oil and they keep beautiful girls to attract the customers. Thief business men sipohon export proceeds into Switzerland, M. East Tax havens. If our income tax department wants to, they can catch these guys, buy data of all banks with non resident accounts in these countries, check all NRIs, tighten the NRI tax benefits, but. ... The indian money which lie in the foreign banks can be used for development of the nation and there is no need for foreign investment etc... But our country is great, plundered by Mughals earlier, now is being plundered by our own people... and these same people after plundering the nation will live like slaves in switzerland, uk, dubai. Shamefull.... United Nations is the pimp of all these money launderers, why does it stop money this activity !

Poverty a disease in IndiaBy: Bashishth Narayan Verma | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:57:32 PM Reply | Forward Instead of showing any alleviation in poverty in our country, it is increasing like cancer in our country. Despite all the claims made by our government, India still stands in the line of extremely poor nations of world, even behind few most poor African nation. On one hand, we have few world's most richest person in our country, while on other hand millions of our people go to bed hungry. India will never become most powerful and developed nation, unless poverty is wiped out. So, who will take the initiative, off course we people of India by choosing the honest and strong representative.
'Despite best brains, poverty a shame on India'By: S Bisarya | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:47:01 PM Reply | Forward Mr. Shetty you are a low self esteem sycophant of the West. The third world has been robbed and defrauded by US and Europe of trillions of dollars and not one of them has ever apologised (not to talk of returning the money) for their deeds. Moreover these countries have wasted and are still wasting so much money on wars yet not a single American or European writes about national shame blah blah. Why are you writing all this about poverty when you know it is an outcome of the western policies? Isn't it the moral duty of the West to return the money robbed or is it that you believe in dacoity. You sound like a minion of the whites writing anything to please your masters.
False propagandaBy: sushil | Friday , 17 Oct '08 15:36:35 PM Reply | Forward Do not blame others for your own shortcomings. Its a habit for us to justify whatever we are doing or blame others for our miseries. Wake up my friend open your eyes and ears do something of your own. Do not always depend or go with begging bowl. Try to become responsible and stop bickering at others.
Spuerstitions are the cause of poverty in India By: Tuny Dey | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:46:48 PM Reply | Forward Sir,As long as the Indian society is divided on caste based discrimination, poverty is bound to be there. when a section of the society is told that their present lot of abject poverty is a result of their sins in their previous births, how can they even get a desire to work hard and come out of that povetrty? Such unscientific lies are being spread in the country. The ruling class always needs such poverty stricken people for it's own vested interests. The upper castes and people in power want to exploit such poor people by spreading superstitions, and telling them that they are not supposed to even learn anything. Spread education and awareness among them that they are being exploited by the landlords by pulling them down to the darkness of superstitions. Provide them with solid projects of upliftment through education, health care and employment, then only poverty can be eradicated from India.
Caste out of the woodwork every timeBy: Kim | Friday , 17 Oct '08 19:05:13 PM Reply | Forward If caste was a cause of poverty, how come Muslims are amongst the poorest community in India? Health and education yes, but where is the funding for it? Lining the pockets of politicians perhaps!
Upper Class vs Lower ClassBy: SMB | Friday , 17 Oct '08 17:49:39 PM Reply | Forward I completely agree with you. The upper class will never relent their power. They feel joy keeping down the lower class. Even some temples in south, the untouchables are not allowed to enter inside the temples to perform puja or darashan. God does not descriminate anyone. Specially Brahmins do not want that to happen so that they can maintain their high
poverty a shame By: Kim | Friday , 17 Oct '08 14:43:28 PM Reply | Forward With over a quarter of the world's population - this is not surprising. It is a shame nevertheless. Not sure that people raising their voice is going to achieve much. People need to address the root causes viz. over-population, corruption, illiteracy and not least corruption.
