Gays are not immoralBy: Kabirdaas | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 11:25:28 AM Reply | Forward Religious views are made the basis to call a human behavior moral or immoral. However quite often such views have lost the original spirit of their own tenets which give birth to misplaced traditions and distorted common sense. Casteism, colonialism, materialism, religious intolerance and human prejudices are each an expression of such deviations. As our human challenges grow, we are looking to reform our tenets and beliefs from within. Gay sexuality is not too common anywhere yet has existed as long as humans have. Though found in a minority, like any sexuality, It is by birth and develops over time (acquired or fashionable gay behavior cannot be called gay in a true sense). Society need not fear them. Excessive sexual deviance of any kind can be a social concern but the indiduals should be encouraged to take them up themselves, not coerced through legal or social means. Gay issue is about diversity and the call to coexist with differences. Morality that is imposed is immoral.
gay sex should not be legalised at any cost --Lalu Prasad YadavBy: M Krishnamachary | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 10:57:52 AM Reply | Forward Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav is right that he does not like matters of sexual freedom. He is not affected, that is why.He is also right in substituting himself with his wife as chief minister. Patently unethical proposition. Also right in continuing as a public figure, though a prime suspect in the Bihar Fodder Scam. Mr.Lalu Prasad would rather ignore the truth of the existence lesbian and gay people among us. Punish them for being born that way. Most people see he is deviant as a politician. Should he not pay for being so, booed out of Parliament.
Gay Flu with MadnessBy: William Dsouza | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 10:54:06 AM Reply | Forward We fully support Lalu Yadav that there should not any chance to legalise gay culture.Foreigners have no culture or religion. They don't have fear of God.We respect Indian culture and religion.Gay is shameless and madness overwhelmed by sexual desire by fools. Our Indian Govt. should be mature enough to choose what is right and what is wrong
Why organise melas?By: Indiano | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 10:29:33 AM Reply | Forward Let the gays do what they want in their privacy. Why do they have to take out processions and create melas. The fuss they make indicates they are not fighting for their genuine rights, but that it is a sinister foreign design to recrute innocent youths to pollute our society.
Islam or any sect never teaches and preaches for short term!By: Murtuza Moosavi | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 10:29:32 AM Reply | Forward This is rubbish if we are in 21 st Century what is the greatness. Isnpite of bcoming human being we are becoming Animal. What is the greatness in gay culture. It is shame on our part. Have we ever think before such loose talk what is the advantage and disadvantage. Why opposite sex is created what is the advantage no we dont have time to think bcoz we are inhuman and we are staying in 21st century with world community. That's why we are inviting Ad's, etc.. First of all, it is none of your business, Laloos!By: B S Kumar | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 9:37:59 AM Reply | Forward Who asked Laloo for his opinion on this matter? This is a decision of intelligence, much delayed for whatever reason. The hardest part to understand for most Indians is that this is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! If you were gay, you'd be fighting for your rights. If you are not, how does this decision by the Supreme Court affect you in any way? Just because you are not comfortable with the idea of being gay or seeing gay people in the open, you cannot make it illegal for them to be that way. It is very much their natural orientation, and it is not a choice.
Joining Laloo are a lot of Indian fools.By: B S Kumar | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 9:33:11 AM Reply | Forward It appears as though many Indians still do not understand that being gay is as natural as being heterosexual. The Supreme Court has amply highlighted this fact through its stance on the matter. If being gay should be illegal in some way, then so should being handicapped. It is high time the government took one step further and launched an educational campaign that being homosexual and bisexual are perfectly natural and nobody needs to feel threatened by another person's sexuality.More than anything, a lot of people seem to assume that somehow there is a MORAL component to this! If it is indeed a moral issue, then, unless you are affected by it in some way, you should have nothing to complain about it.Just because you don't like it doesn't make it immoral. Indians should learn to mind their own business.
Kudos LaluBy: Abhinav | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 9:09:05 AM Reply | Forward If gays are having a fundamental right to express their sexuality then why should the law jail people who like to have sex with willing under-age girls? It should be the fundamental right of people who like under-age girls to express their sexuality, after all who is the law to decide whether 18 should be the age of consent? If we keep going this irrational way then the day is not far when Indian society would go down the hedonistic path taken by urban America and Europe. We should not blindly ape the west and should live by our own cultural values. Government should also think about the dangerous consequences this decision of Delhi HC could have for the lives and well-being of gays. Does anyone seriously beleive that Indadian society would accept gays openely, barring one or two mega-cities, I really doubt it. This could give rise to enhanced danger to gays who were under the closet till now. Media does not care about the social havoc in its thoughtless actions could create.
concent to live togetherBy: richard | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 9:05:43 AM Reply | Forward If it is not allowed in India, why it is practiced here? If it is practiced here, who is getting affected by it? If so, have they lodged any complaints against the offender? If no complaint is lodged where is the criminal activity?
