kashmirBy: alexander | Wednesday , 5 Nov '08 11:42:24 AM Reply | Forward we congratulate obama on him winning the presidential election, and the people of america for voting him as their president, the word kashmir, when broken in two one will find literallythat its a indian and islamic word, and its is good for india and pakistan to sort out, and no third person, the president can use his good office to protect people who are oppressed in other region around the world.
Bill Clinton as special envoy on KashmirBy: s.s.iyer | Wednesday , 5 Nov '08 11:40:44 AM Reply | Forward Kashmir is a part of India like Tibet is a part of China. As such the question of mediation by outside agencies to resolve the so called Kashmir issue does not arise. The government of India should not entertain any proposal in this aspect.
Obama and KashmirBy: Ratnesh | Wednesday , 5 Nov '08 11:38:34 AM Reply | Forward The reasoning with Pakistan is correct. But, Obama will need a better argument with India. Precisely because India is on the verge of becoming an economic super-power, it has lesser motivation to give up claim on its territory. The Kashmir issue does not affect India's march otherwise. And in any case, Kashmir is no longer the central issue in Indo-Pak relations as far as India is concerned. It is Pak-Bangladesh based islamic terrorism and that won't stop even if India were to give up Kashmir completely. In fact, it will only increase. So Mr.Obama, your best chance of getting the Pakis to focus on Afghanistan is to convince them that they have no chance of gaining Kashmir and unless they consider it as a closed chapter, the Talibanese will one day advance to Islamabad and take it over.
Obama's mission KashmirBy: ramesh kumar | Wednesday , 5 Nov '08 11:37:49 AM Reply | Forward Clearly, Obama has considered himself as the decision maker on Kashmir issue! Kudos to all the 'pseudo-secular' parties in India. But wait and see if U.S. considers diverting their attention to Kashmir as their new business field, not only the 'pseudo-secular' champions will enjoy, the entire India will suffer! But, we asked for it. That much we are promoting the terrorists and its culture!
Raja MohanBy: sohail | Wednesday , 5 Nov '08 11:29:58 AM Reply | Forward Raja Mohan has now strated to accept the reality that Kashmir is a internationally recongnised disputed teritorry,no matter what will be the solution of the disputewhether will stay with india or independent. The early one accepts the facts the better for him.
