New York: A US-based Hindu advocacy group has taken strong objection to historian Michael Wood's documentary ‘The Story of India,’ being telecast on public television, describing its presentation of the Aryan Migration Theory (AMT) as ‘agenda driven.’ Rejecting the theory, the Hindu American Foundation (  ....Read more

AMT for foolsBy: KPeddala | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 22:24:43 PM Reply | Forward Google the words "JPMorgan Racism Indian" and you will know
So called story of IndiaBy: gopal | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 22:04:19 PM Reply | Forward I will ask my friends and acquaintances to withdraw support from PBS and NPR stations. This documentary on India is pure propaganda. Shame on PBS, shame on Michael Woods! If this i the case that raises serious doubts about PBS's other documentaries. I had inherent faith in their unbiased reporting and coverage not anymore. It seems the old cliche,If its too good to be true it is porbably not true, finally caught up with PBS
HAF- Confused HindusBy: Anil Shringi | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 21:53:44 PM Reply | Forward There are lots of words where Hindus are confused and they make others more confuse Words such as: 'Hinduism', 'Myth', 'Aryan', 'Many Gods', 'DemiGods' these are wrong English words for authentic and ancient Sanatan Dharma/Hindu Dharma but less educated orless knowlegable Hindus use these words fluently and frequetly, they are confused Hindus. Just because skin color of north Indians are different from South Indians doesn't mean that N.Indians become Ayran. The probelm is we Hindus never took objection to those incorrect words and now we are suffering
story of indiaBy: disgusted indian | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 21:46:49 PM Reply | Forward One only has to read preceding responses to confirm the wisdom of a college joke 'one Indian a philosopher; two Indians a chatterbox; three Indians CONFUSION'. We all know that AMT has been an accepted theory for long but everyday the holes in it are getting bigger and bigger. Going by this the depiction in 'The Story Of India' was without doubt one sided.
Aryan invasion and linguistic invasionBy: Raju | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 20:29:03 PM Reply | Forward Why only Aryans are upset. Drvidians still live under submission. Aryans are now even eradicating the dravidian languages by forcing Hindi. After few decades, these langauages woud be cessfully invaded by Hindi. it is cultural invasions. Few centuries from then, Aryans will deny such an invasion and say that Hindi was always the languages of Hindus and that Dravidian languages never existed. After all, we Aryans are best in corruption and in cheating the whole world. So, let us keep shouting that Aryan invasion never existed.
Story of IndiaBy: Gidwani | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 20:25:08 PM Reply | Forward I eagerly awaited the Story of India series. Now that I have watched two episodes I must say it is a very poor depiction. It is very badly made,it is boring, and it put me to sleep. The Aryan Migration Theory is a total myth, cooked up in the imagination of Europeans who couldn't accept the fact that the Indian civilization was more advanced than any European "civilization". It is acceptable to lie and pull the wool over the eyes of your enemies, but by believing their own lies they deluded not only only their target audience but also themselves. When people start believing their own lies they enter a world of fantasy where it is difficult to distinguish fact from fiction. It is called insanity!!

Nothing wrong in knowing Hindu HistoryBy: Anoop | Tuesday , 5 May '09 17:32:29 PM Reply | Forward After reading some of the comments made by friends here and in general, I fail to understand y Hindu's don’t seek to know the History of a their beautiful religion. We are one of the oldest (if not the oldest) religion in the world and we should be proud of our great sacred religion. There is no need to be aggressive towards people helping to preserve our culture our History our religion. Public toilets, polluted rivers will be cleaned in due course once we move towards development. But that doesn’t mean we should forget our religions’ history and there should be no want towards knowing our religion. I agree with jojo, people should read "The Return of Aryans" by Bhagwan Gidwani to better understand Hinduism. It showcases our Hindus history in a brilliant manner. And how Hindu’s (Aryans) spread across the world
Hinduism is way of lifeBy: Dr. Prasad Mothadaka | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 19:24:33 PM Reply | Forward Hinduism survived all tested times just for one reason 'tolerance'. Hence, best approach is to carry forward the great character of 'get going' sans giving undue importance and involve in air-splitting arguments. There are real issues such as poverty, ill health, education and shelter for proper living. Despite so many problems in quotidian life most of the Indians show remarkable character of gets going often resorting to fatalism. However, some degree intolerance entered the same in recent years which is unwanted and ill healthy for the survival and advancement of Hinduism. After thousands of years of practice Hinduism become more of way of life to nearly one sixth of inhabitants of this planet, than religion in true sense. Opinions made in print or electronic media in whatever form need not perturb that way of life. It stands solid no matter what and hence no need to waste time.

I dont careBy: Harsha | Tuesday , 10 Feb '09 12:04:10 PM Reply | Forward How the heck in this world does it matter??? I dont give a rat's bum about who came from where and all that nonsense. This country continues to judge the present based on the past. What a shame...MOVE ON!!!
another storyBy: Siddharth Gupta | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 19:09:05 PM Reply | Forward this is the result of the apathy which the indian leaders have shown towards hinduism..now every western historian considers it his birthright to malign our heritage as he knows that we won't react...but another thing is that our best years are ancient history and now what we have now doesn't resemble our glorious heritage..
