where are the bloddy communists ?By: ajjampur ramadas | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:23:56 PM Reply | Forward I do not know why nowadays communists are totally silent. In fact, they should rise and fight against such things, like corruption, opportunists, capitalists, etc, which are against the society building activities. Nowadays, Lokayukta is daily coming out the various cases of rampant corrupt officials. Though drawing low salaries, one gets agahst at the properties they own and cash they keep in their houses. In fact, communists should barge in their houses and thrash them mercilessly.... ajjampur ramadas

Expose real culprits.By: Jamsheed Basha | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:16:04 PM Reply | Forward Shivraj Patel as Home Minister is a misfit for the post. He has no inkling to what is going in the terror camp. Lalu was right in expressing his displeasure in the handling of the post Delhi blast aftermath. He has rightly called for a urgent meeting of the Cabinet to discuss the issue. A firm and stern action is needed than to put a wholesome blame on one community. There is some other players in the sordid game of terrorism wanted to avenge certain losses. Who are they and why are they using pseudo names to strike terror has to be unearthed. These terrorists are no friends of one community or the other. They are not humans at all. These savage elements of the society must be told in unequivocal terms that they are soon to be exposed. They have no place to hide and they would be brought to book soon. It maybe remembered that such a spate of bombing is something baffling the common citizen. Without local supports they would not be doing this. Who are they and where are they?Expose.
Teethless Home Minister of IndiaBy: Rohit Padita | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:14:53 PM Reply | Forward Even if we bring out Hitler from his grave and make him the home minister of India, he also wont be able to do much. The problem is not with the person who is holding the ministry. The problem is with the process that one has to follow in implementing anything harsh with the terror elements. The home minister will need to have more teeth and over and above that the rights to use those teeth to crush the terror activities in India.

Democracy in India is a jokeBy: sivakumar | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:12:31 PM Reply | Forward Democracy is in India is a joke. Congress unable to do anything related to terrorist , regional problem , Maoist extra. I don't know why Mr.Singh is still holding the PM post. I am worried soon every state in India will become a country. Everyone starting political parties , how come a single party major will come to power and take bold decision on terrorist, Maoist ,regional water problem. Politics has become business , rather than serving nation and national interest. GOD CAN't SAVE INDIA.

ETERNAL VIGILANCE WILL WIN US THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM: A PROPOSAL TO LAUNCH A MASSIVE ADVERTISING AND POSTER CAMPAIGN By: SUBHASH SAMPAT | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:07:48 PM Reply | Forward Like in London, people in all towns and cities of India should be urged by the police to help stop terrorists in their tracks by reporting any suspicious behaviour in their towns and cities. That’s what has been done by the Metropolitan Police Service in London in a counter terrorism advertising and poster campaign that was launched in London in February this year. Since then, the Metropolitan Police Service in London has been asking people to trust their instincts and pass on information about any unusual activity or behaviour to the FREE confidential Anti-Terrorist Hotline. Information can also be passed on via the police website by pressing on their slogan icon. The most catchy key slogan and message of their entire campaign is conveyed and summed up in just six words, 'If You Suspect It, Report It'. Ads were run in London newspapers and on Capital's radio stations for five weeks in February and March this year. The Internet also carries the advertising. According to Peter Clarke, Specialist Operations Assistant Commissioner, “Just one phone call could contain a piece of vital information which could help disrupt terrorist planning and save lives.”
'IF YOU SUSPECT IT, REPORT IT' By: SUBHASH SAMPAT | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:09:43 PM Reply | Forward Mr Peter Clarke, Specialist Operations Assistant Commissioner said that although the threat of attack remained real, the campaign had not been launched in response to any specific threat. The press ads seek to raise awareness of some of the items, activities which may be needed by, or be of use to, terrorists. It asks the public to consider whether they have seen any activity connected with them which may have made them suspicious. Radio and television advertising has also been devised to complement the press ads and features an individual thinking out loud about concerns she has around some suspicious behaviour. She is reassured that she should call the confidential Anti-Terrorist Hotline and that any information will be considered by specialist officers.
THE FULL TEXT OF THE COUNTER-TERRORISM AD AND POSTER CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED BY THE METROPOLITAN POLICE SERVICE OF LONDON By: SUBHASH SAMPAT | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:11:54 PM Reply | Forward Here is the full text of the counter-terrorism advertising and poster campaign launched by the Metropolitan Police Service of London this year: ‘IF YOU SUSPECT IT, REPORT IT: "Terrorists will not succeed if suspicious activity is reported to the police. As people go about their normal day-to-day lives they may spot something which strikes them as suspicious. We are asking all members of the public - people who live in London, as well as those who work in and visit the city -to trust their instincts and contact the FREE Anti-Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321 with any information they have. No piece of information is considered too small. We want people to look out for the unusual - some activity or behaviour which strikes them as not quite right and out of place in their normal day to day lives. Terrorists live within our communities, making their plans whilst doing everything they can to blend in and trying not to raise suspicions about their activities. They have a lot of work to do before they attack. They need money and may commit cheque, credit card and identity fraud to finance their activities (Continued below).
‘IF YOU SUSPECT IT, REPORT IT’ ON FREE CONFIDENTIAL ANTI-TERRORIST HOTLINE By: SUBHASH SAMPAT | Monday , 15 Sep '08 15:13:49 PM Reply | Forward (Continued from above) “Terrorists use chemicals. Do you know someone buying large or unusual quantities of chemicals for no obvious reason? Handling chemicals is dangerous and maybe you've seen goggles or masks dumped somewhere? Observation and surveillance help terrorists plan attacks. Have you seen anyone taking pictures of security arrangements such as CCTV? Has it made you suspicious? Meetings, training and planning for terrorist attacks can take place anywhere. Do you know someone who travels but is vague about where they're going? Terrorists use computers - do you know someone who visits terrorist-related websites? We completely understand and appreciate that some people may have concerns or reservations about contacting the police - possibly they think their friends or family may find out, or they are worried that their suspicions may prove to have innocent explanations. Any information passed to the FREE Anti-Terrorist Hotline is treated in the strictest of confidence. We make our assurances that information received is thoroughly analysed and researched before, and if, any police action is taken."
