Need for direct and tough action by Pak: Rice

New Delhi: Rejecting Pakistan's contention, the US on Wednesday night said that there is need for ‘direct and tough action’ by Islamabad even if the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks were ‘non-state actors’. "The fact is non-state actors perform from the confines of the state. There has to be dire  ....Read more

Talk with actionBy: Errol Monteiro | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 18:49:42 PM Reply | Forward Take action now India! Eliminate he terror camps we all know exist in Pakistan. It's now or never. Eitherway, Pakistan is a defunct and bankrupt state. They are reaping what they have sowed.
Why has US always supported Pakistan despite it being source of terrorism to the world?By: Bharat | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 18:27:18 PM Reply | Forward The US needs to tell the world why has it always supported Pakistan that is perpetrator of terrorism around the world?
Photograph aside, decent people do not even sit in the same room.By: Reader | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 18:23:15 PM Reply | Forward Condoleezzaji, please aviode being photographed with Advani, because he and his BJP have become role models of every criminal, who like the Mumbai terrorists are ready to demolish Mosques, burn Churches, rape and kill mother and sister likes in our Hindu names. He belongs to the RSS, whose cadres are a photo copy of Hitlers Jügend, and they preciously like them roam the streets of India wearing khakhi nickers. They still think that the II world is still on and they still think that Hitler and Goebbles are still alive.
Dear Condoleezza.....By: Nautankee | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 18:12:35 PM Reply | Forward Dear Condoleezza Rice, please help the people of India from the grip of the terrorists by involving the USA, Europe and the rest of the world. These people have long pained by Pakistani terrorists, who have been killing inncocent people in the past 60 years or more. While Pakistan is full of Al-Qaida, LeT etc. and India is fill with RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal etc. which is equally behaving like Nazi thugs from the II World War.Even Bal Thackarey is behaving like a Nazi.
Mumbai MassacreBy: Pankaj Vohra | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 17:08:39 PM Reply | Forward I think India has already conceded its ace by being too slow. While pakistan despite the difficult situation it is in has made all the right noises including briefing of foreign diplomats and suggesting that it may need to relocate troops from west to east(therby telling the US that its war on terror will be weakened). We need to keep all of our options including military and economic and ensure that pakistan is compelled to take strong measures. Also we need to explain to the US that its time to call the Paki bluff and squeeze them from all sides.
Us and not USBy: nags | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 17:01:43 PM Reply | Forward You dont need US to 'urge' Pakistan to act...what is stopping India from taking a unilateral decision against Pak...i.e go after these terrorist cam..hunt them down and destroy them .which is in line with the safety of the citizens of India...US has nothing to do with it...Act now...deal with Diplomacy later...
"Act Now - Diplomacy Later" brough mighty US downBy: Shiv Chakra | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 22:55:04 PM Reply | Forward This feeling of bravado and dutch courage will take a back seat if we push our government to take unilateral action. Global consensus is essential of which US might be the most influential champion of Indian values. The fact that Pakistan is a country with whom we share a common border would compound any full-blown conflict. Do we really want to take care of millions of refugees? (Trust me they are not going to head to Afghanistan for their solid economy and infrastructure). War is expensive and the mighty US is realizing the immense damage it can do to one's economy. We may feel invinsible cloaked in our patriotism now but accepting harsher living conditions due to an expensive war on our borders will quickly dry up the same.
Rice's visit to IndiaBy: Anoop | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 16:02:49 PM Reply | Forward This is the time to test newfound friendship between India and USA. Americans should use all their influence as if the attack took place on them and should take similar action as they took when 9/11 happened. This is not the time for them to play politics. They need to match their words with action especially when their intelligence chief has also implicated Pakistanis.
Rice visitBy: R.Kannan | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 15:42:20 PM Reply | Forward Once again, US has sent its representive to pressurise India to keep quiet. If US exerted even a fraction of this effort in Pak, the world would have been rid of terror ling ago. The Indian government needs to ask Rice to get lost and launch a few strikes in Pak. The US support for Pak is legendary but what is the point in our continuously runing scared ?
TWO DRUNK MONKIESBy: Ramesh Patel | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 17:21:56 PM Reply | Forward SHE IS HERE TO CALM TOW IMMATURE NATIONS WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND CONSEQUENCES OF HAVING NUCLEAR BOMBS. THESE TWO MONKIES ARE DRUNK WITH NUCLEAR DRINKS. AND WHOLE WORLD IS AFRAID.
Leaders we want action By: Harold D'cunha | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 15:35:07 PM Reply | Forward Rice body language says she does not mean what she says. India should not take dictation from Rice. What is required this hour is tough action by the Indian leaders against our enemies wherever they might be. Every Indian is boiling at this hour and is ready to sacrifice for the motherland
Too much Rice will make you sleepBy: undefined | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 16:27:52 PM Reply | Forward Rice should not be allowed to meet Prime Minister. US under Bush always protects Pakistan. Just ignore what she says and do our own thing. Why do we have to go to US like cry babies
Its all about the "lobby"By: Sachin Khandelwal | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 15:16:48 PM Reply | Forward Barack Obama despite all odds, a black middle class American, won the most powerful and hotly contested elections because of the"lobbying" by the educated middle class Americans. So, it was NOT the business class but the engineers, doctors, professionals like you and me who persistently introduced Barack and his vision to thehuge sceptical American audience. It’s sad to say that in India we educated have a marginal role in politics, other than drawing room discussions which other than ego-satisfaction achieve little else. Keeping in mind the burgeoning Indian Middle class we definitely do have a base to begin the "lobbying" and highlighting the "candidates" who are capable and potentially good for serving our nation. The lobby will expand through cascade effect and can neutralise and even defeat the "vote bank" politics which define the candidate of today and his "constituency". Good candidates will definitely leadto much better governance, implementation of recommendations.
name one politicianBy: ab | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 15:49:19 PM Reply | Forward to sachin: name one 'candidates" who are capable and potentially good for serving our nation.'i'm lying helpless..
name one politicianBy: Anks | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 20:20:10 PM Reply | Forward Mr Narendra Modi, Gujarat chief Minister.
WHO ARE YOU NAMING? A TERRORIST?By: paresh rawal | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 23:40:21 PM Reply | Forward IS THIS GUY STILL ROAMING ON STREETS? HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN JAIL FOR LOG TIME FOR KILLING HUNDREDS OF INNOCENT CITIZENS (CAN EW CALL HIM A TERRORIST/ WHY NOT) HE IS PROHIBITED ENTERING USA, ENGLAND AND WHOLE EUROPE, BASICALLY ALL CIVILIZED COUNTRIES.
Hindutva HypocrisyBy: Hasan | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 23:08:20 PM Reply | Forward Who this man is? He is killer of thousands of muslims and has been denied visa twice by USA for his misadaventure and the crimes he has committed. Narendar Modi should be hanged and all likes him also be hanged. All those who supported Hindu terror outfits and criticised ATS Chief Hemant Karkare should be brought to justice and be hanged till death. All such forces are anti national.
