Plolice and PMBy: V V S Prasad | Monday , 24 Nov '08 9:08:48 AM Reply | Forward The Police and the Army are demoralised by UPA government. Its interferance in criminal justice system has demotivated the police. No wonder that no headway is made in many blast cases where minority is arrested. The UPA and its allies are mainpualting the media to show that as if Malegaon blasts are done by Hindu asints and sadhvis.I think the prsent regime is on pay roll of ISI.
This is bad journalismBy: Baatul | Monday , 24 Nov '08 8:48:24 AM Reply | Forward The headlines and Dr. Singh and his statement go in totally different direction. The heading seems to suggest that police is being unfairly targetted while its men gets killed. But, his statement suggests as if "Killing of the policeman doesn't absolve the police of it being fair". I'm sad that Dr. Singh made that statement and even more sad that Indian Express is trying to cover him up.
Police being questionedBy: Syamasundara prasad Turaga | Monday , 24 Nov '08 7:11:39 AM Reply | Forward Dear Dr. Manmohan Singh, you should be above all hurdels while facing public as far as confidence of common man is deteriorating about police. Stop political intervention and also stop intimedating some clergemen, sadhus, saints by the special wings of power like ATS, CBI etc. Then only the public get the confidance. Even if police arrested a person of doubtful character, they should not disclose to the media. Media to get publicity to their paper starts instentaniously writing all sorts of information without analysing the truth in it. This type of freedom tp press is dangerous to the very democracy. Prove your worth.

Police being questioned.By: K. Raghavan | Monday , 24 Nov '08 4:26:04 AM Reply | Forward PM's reported adress is proof enough, if any was needed, of its vote bank politics wheb dealing with terrorist attacks. Ome would expect him to advise the police to be fair to all, and not only to the 'religous and ethnic minorities'. If he really wants to restore people's faith in police, he and especially his party, has to first stop making use of police and CBI to harras its political opponents - witness the systematic and inspired 'leaks' in so called Malegaon blast investigations. Not content with destroying credibility of police, the Congress now wants to do same with Judiciary.
miorities - wont take a minute to kill youBy: rajesh | Sunday , 23 Nov '08 23:03:11 PM Reply | Forward Why not just give away india to the jihadis, so no one will have to wory about any suffering of the important minorities and let the hindus be minorities.
Majority and Police fairness By: SN Vyas | Sunday , 23 Nov '08 18:49:31 PM Reply | Forward This minority PM's comments are telling police must be seen to be fair in dealing with religious and ethnic minorities'. He is only half correct. Police should be fair regardless of the religion of the suspects. Does this PM mean that it is ok for the police not to be fair with Majority ? The PM's circumscribed comments are indeed verified by the ATS behavior with Hindus.Sooner we get rid of this govt thru elections the better.
What about the army?By: Aditya | Sunday , 23 Nov '08 17:58:42 PM Reply | Forward What about the armed forces? The army is being questioned even as their men are dying each day.
Well done PMBy: ravi | Sunday , 23 Nov '08 17:21:21 PM Reply | Forward India's minorities did you hear our PM. Well do not question the police regarding investigation of terrorists acts. Well even Manmohan has the guts to speak.
Police being questioned even as they lose their men: PMBy: SURESH V RAO | Sunday , 23 Nov '08 17:20:17 PM Reply | Forward The PM has made a very pertinent and relevent point in this matter. One dreads to imagine what would have been the reaction of these politicians if Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma had not lost his life. If decorated army men and Sadhvis can be subjected to narco analysis surely these politicians who have questioned the Police on the Batla House incident should be also subjected to the same Narco Analysis to go into their antecedents.
