First answer, how can a cartoonist in a poor newspaper can have property worth 5000 crore (bal thackarey). they are fooling marathi manooos by just giving hypocrite hopes to them. The same raj was there in shiv sena before, that time he never spoke about north indians, now when he needs to establish hiimself and his party, he is think of marathi rights. when he and his cousin brother (uddhav) cannot stay together, then how can he talk for unity in marathi people, he left shiv sena in lust of power and his counterpart is also luring marathis for his own political milage, forget about rights of marathis, the matter is the votes of marathi people, which in any sense cannot make both of them win. Anyways, my free advice to those followers of raj, yes oppose things which is not right, but in peaceful way, killing anybody is not right, and anywhere near to their rich religion. Debate in the parliament needed on development imbalance and why North, East, NE is under developed?By: Dnyanesh | Thursday , 23 Oct '08 0:09:36 AM Reply | Forward Its time to think why things are going in this direction.If Raj wants to make this a political issue then what is the reason behind and most importantly, why is he getting support from local people. The same issue can bite other states as well. Biharies are spreading in many different states as they don't have jobs in their own state. There is a big movement of people from north to south because states in the south offer comparatively peaceful life and jobs. Law and order situation is better than the north. There are two ways to address this issue. One is to conotrl this migration so that it will not cause law and order problems in the states in south. This does not mean stopping migration. Second, encouraging new industries to come up in the north. Central government has shown that it is strong enough in directing Maharashtra govt but its role does not end here. It has to make sure how progress remain balanced and there is not imbalance as we have today. We need debate in Sansad.

Being Indian, if a feeling of a larger society or the political system or a nation state. But individual culture we belong to is important. This is so true in all the nation states around the world. This would get charged up when you add economics into the mix. There is no point in yelling that there exists no difference between a marathi and a tamilian and we are Indian. What required is an honest and open intercultural dialogue.

It will be unfair to impose Hindi on Tamil people, Gujrati on Bengalis. Our slogan of “unity in diversity” remained just a slogan. We hardly understand the meaning of that. It will be a problem if anyone wants to impose their version of “culture” on local people of a geographical area. India need to have true federal system where states will have a better control in intra-state migration, job opportunity for local people, protection and efforts to improve local culture and language. Politicians from Bihar and UP need to ask themselves why many people are leaving those states. We all need good people to contribute to build and improve a society but when junks come to one place and overwhelm local people and culture it’s surely a matter of concern. India need to have system like Switzerland to protect local people and culture than to blindly following USA system where original indigenous people were washed away by flood of migrants.

The court of law only examines what is placed on record before it. There has been no announcement from the government so far, about appeal against the decision of the court. The government should have added murder charge, as one person was killed in the senseless violence incited by Raj. Earlier the state home minister was telling the media, that the government is bringing an ordnance, which will empower the government to recover damages from the people who indulge in violence, but here they did not even prepare the case properly. It seems that the state government wants to prop up Raj as a counter to Shiv Sena. The Congress have done this before. They propped up Bhindrawale as a counter to the Akali Dal, and what happened after that is history. Bhindrawale became too big and a lot of innocents had to die.
