Reporter throws shoes at Bush, calls him 'dog'

Baghdad: An Iraqi reporter called visiting U.S. President George W. Bush a "dog" in Arabic on Sunday and threw his shoes at him during a news conference in Baghdad. Iraqi security officers and U.S. secret service agents leapt at the man and dragged him struggling and screaming out of the room where Bush  ....Read more

Mangal Pandey of IraqBy: Ajith Mathew | Monday , 22 Dec '08 13:20:23 PM Reply | Forward While congratulating Bush for his reflex in avoiding the 'hit' twice, one must acknowledge that it was a spontaneous expression of an urge for freedom of an individual. From a professional view point, the 'act' doesn't reflect well on the doer; So doesn't a lay soldier firing at his superior as well! But from his national, social

Iraqi shoe over American HeadBy: Amarendra | Tuesday , 16 Dec '08 14:01:58 PM Reply | Forward Today Rice agrees, on the information they relied to attack on Iraq was incorrect.America killed(not punished) Saddam, and no one can deny this fact. For decades to come we can not expect Iraq to rage a war against America. What They could do is definitly done, and America won't retaliate to that.If that was well executed plan of Iraqi Government... Well done!!
brutual actBy: binu joseph | Tuesday , 16 Dec '08 11:28:49 AM Reply | Forward it was utter stupidity part of the journalist to throw off his shoes towards presedient bush , bush is one of the best president the world has ever seen, what wrong has he done , he is a matured politician, and deals things according to the will of god., iraqi's has to pay a great deal for the brutal display.
A brave actBy: Shoma | Wednesday , 17 Dec '08 15:34:57 PM Reply | Forward I would congratulate to the journalist who has shown such a great bravery. Mr. Bush attacked Iraq only for oil and he can never justify his act. He has killed not only President Saddam by framing him in various charges his government became fail in controlling the situation of Iraq. He is a culprit of total humanity.
Reporter throws shoes at Bush, calls him 'dog'By: Farhang | Tuesday , 16 Dec '08 9:13:40 AM Reply | Forward The Americans occupied Iraq for looting the oil and killed and maimed thousands of innocent civilians. If democracy was the aim why not go to Somalia or Mozambique. The majority of the population in the ME hate the USA and UK occupiers. Only a few elite and the ruling clique favour the occupiers. These elites and the ruling clique have relations staying in the West and its in their interest for the occupiers to stay. The incident has been most welcomed by the common man in the ME and shows that the ruling sheikhs of Saudi Arabia,UAE, etc are living on borrowed time. The Iranian revolution was the beginning and what has been set in motion will engulf sooner or later the whole of the ME and the waning power of the USA will not stop it. The western press has played down the incident as aimed at BUsh trying to separate the USA from Bush but the common man knows Bush or Obama or Kennedy, USA presidents will continue to loot the world's resources for the USA.
I like BushBy: Eddy | Tuesday , 16 Dec '08 3:26:29 AM Reply | Forward America's chips are really down when shoes are thrown at an American President. I support Bush. Whatever he did was in retaliation for the 9/11 attacks. At least U.S. has not faced any attack on its soil after that. For that alone I congratulate President Bush. As for the demented journalist who throws shoes, he should be locked away in a mental asylum!
Freedom.....!By: Raju | Tuesday , 16 Dec '08 3:22:10 AM Reply | Forward Look there is nothing to gigle about,in USA the freedom is base of the soceity. WE can curse if want to and eat the similar steak what is being served in White House! The Iraqui man who acted idotic would have been given little whole 8 years back in time of Saddam in no time. The freedom prevails in IRAQ, and that is success of Mr. Bush.
Good idea!By: vikram | Monday , 15 Dec '08 20:38:05 PM Reply | Forward This is what we need in India. Most of our politicians deserve this treatment. If need be, some sharp shoe throwers can be trained for the purpose.
Out of DesperationBy: Sabtukalilima | Monday , 15 Dec '08 19:16:23 PM Reply | Forward Robert Scheer was a Los Angeles Times Reporter for thirty long years. He was one of the rarest world class journalists. Scheer was skeptical about President Bush's claim about Iraq and he wrote that US was wrong about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction( He wrote on 6th August 2002). He called the White House pretext for war a big lie. Honest and brave Scheer was fired by the newspaper. Based on such deceiving pretexts and lies, a civilized nation, the world leader America have killed 12 lakh Iraqi civilians and made 42 lakhs leave their nation as refugees. Now President Bush says that American action was based on faulty intelligence reports. Please readers, put yourself in the situation of Iraqis, forgetting your bias on Arabs and Muslims and think someone will do anything in desperation including acts of violence, disrespect ( throwing shoes at a leader) and terrorist acts. I am afraid the unjust war on terror is going to increase the real prospects of terrorism from Iraq.
EVERY DOG HAS IT'S DAYBy: M.M.NAAZIM | Monday , 15 Dec '08 19:13:10 PM Reply | Forward AN ARROGANT AGGRESSOR AND A PERPETUAL LIAR WHO DESTROYED A GOOD NATION INTO PEICES DESERVES THIS TREATMENT . HE INVADED IRAQ TO STEAL THEIR OIL ECONOMY - LIKE A BLOODY TEXAN THUG , IN CONNIVANCE WITH ENERGY LOBBY OF AMERICA , HE SPENT MILLIONS ON MEDIA TO CHEAT THE WORLD ABT WMD 's , THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT IRAQIS DIED BUT HE DID NOT REGRET , HE SHOWED UTTER DISREGARD FOR U.N AND TOOK UNILATERAL DECISIONS , HE TALKED ABOUT " CLASH OF CIVILISATIONS " , HE CREATED THOUSANDS OF ORPHANS AND WOMEN SUFFERED THE WORST . YET SOME FOOLISH AMERICANS SHAMELESSLY SAY ARABS ARE ARROGANT
