Satyam scam: Raju, we feel sorry for you, say employees

Hyderabad: Many staff at Satyam Computer Services tried to put up a brave front on Friday, hoping things would return to normal soon and their jobs secured even as the outsourcer fights for its survival. Huge banners with messages from some of Satyam's 53,000 staff and their hand imprints have been put u  ....Read more

Very few high tech firms were ever very profitableBy: Sanjay | Friday , 9 Jan '09 21:18:27 PM Reply | Forward We know most investments in software, internet are very inflated for profits because they project the future that may more rosy then possible, as they relate to high tech area. But certainly Satyam investment in properties are more profitable then ever the software business and give better return. But did not help the investor whose money was put in such speculation.Weathe there is fraud we must see the interest of employees and the people that recieve services, also there should be better bankruptcy laws and better regulation.
Raju is godBy: Raju | Friday , 9 Jan '09 21:17:27 PM Reply | Forward Ramalinga Raju is god.
RAJUBy: XYZ | Friday , 9 Jan '09 20:39:22 PM Reply | Forward RAJU BAN GAYE GENTLEMAN?
Satyam scamBy: A.Kader | Friday , 9 Jan '09 20:35:01 PM Reply | Forward When THE TRUTH IS A LIE, what do you feel sorry for ?
Good to See spiritBy: Senthil | Friday , 9 Jan '09 19:59:12 PM Reply | Forward Though I might not completely acknowledge the fact that Raju deserves backing, the brand Satyam definitely does. And who better to back it than its own people.. People who are the real Satyam, whose talents Satyam has recognized.. But all said, it takes a great heart and sense of belonging to stand by the company now and we all pray that your brand comes out stronger than before.. All the best Satyam..
positive thinkingBy: Y K ANAND | Friday , 9 Jan '09 19:08:37 PM Reply | Forward It is really great. I sincerely wish that present management and the employees wiil turn things around and make Satyam a great organization. The employees and mgt have the ability to do so. They should not lose faith in them and I request them to hang on even there is a ray of hope. They can easily take the organization to no 1 company as they are not working for any selfish benefits but for the company. Such unity will do wonders for the organization. I WISH ALL THE BEST FOR THE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGEMENT OF SATYAM
Are you telugu, if not - the door is there....By: manasu | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 2:59:22 AM Reply | Forward Its bad to add salt, but its a fact to be known by the unknowns. These are the people who used to ask 'Are you Telugu?', but I am not very clear whether they decided things with respect to that, but heard the same from lots of others, who were really technically qualified, but not with respect to their language, strange but there is some truth. One more thing to note, its not just Telugu people looking at Telugu's, Tamilians are looking at the Tamilians(???), ofcourse Malayalis look at Malayalis,... human has bad things in their mind, so what Mr. Raju did is not a big deal,... politicians are expert in this kind of crimes, so dont make a big deal out of Raju's case...
Not realisticBy: gonkin | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 1:23:14 AM Reply | Forward I live in US but i am from Hyd. I dont see any reason to be optimistic about the company, it is going to go down. even if the company survives ( miracle) , it wil lhold only a hals full of employees..its better to start looking for jobs..even for less salaries and get our of it as soon as possible. You might not even get salaries for next couple of months..y optimism?
Moronic PoliticiansBy: Scott Ramen | Friday , 9 Jan '09 18:45:21 PM Reply | Forward I just dont get it. Some of these people are feeling sorry for a moron who brought so much pain to employees, investors and any one who believed in the Indian story. This Satyam organization is one of the least professionaly run one. Casteism is rampant. No wonder there is still some support for this thug. All his caste people still look at him as some kind of a God.Then look at the politicians. Not one of them - YSR, Naidu or any one for that matter came forward to criticize the actions of this gang of robbers. All these corrupt politicians are in hand with this Ramalinga Raju. They are very likely to have gotten kickbacks when they doled out all these infrastructure projects to this dubious company - Maytas Infra. All these crooks will be trying hard to bail out this Raju idiot.
Raju's RevelationsBy: Rajiv | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 16:23:26 PM Reply | Forward What I also don't get is why Raju has revealed all now? Was he afraid he would be found out soon? Or was he or Satyam under some kind of investigation? Or was it just his conscience that he finally wanted to do the ethical thing? Does someone have the inside story?
Satyam By: J.Narasimha Rao | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 8:44:34 AM Reply | Forward Idiot is a comparatively more respectable term. People like him are well educated crooks in league with not so well educated crooks.
Come to realityBy: TruthSayer | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 1:57:28 AM Reply | Forward Raju is a disgrace and we need to accept that. Throw out your caste, region, country feelings in this matter and look closely to see how this guy cheated scores of innocent investors, employees and their families. Don't waste your sympathy on such a person with no morale, conscience and responsibility.
Don't trivialise Raju's contributionBy: Bhanu. A | Friday , 9 Jan '09 20:19:47 PM Reply | Forward The same people who are villifying Ramalinga Raju are the ones who were praising him when he made them hordes of money as dividends! All these years they enjoyed while Raju and his associates slogged to make SATYAM a great company which it still is. Satyam has immense talent pool, well-educated, trained
Feeling sorry for Whom?By: Kumar Kumbla | Friday , 9 Jan '09 18:01:16 PM Reply | Forward This person has not only let down his employees, he has let down thousands of small investors - more than that he has let down his country. He has done more damage to image of India. All for the sake of his personal greed. The employees better feel sorry for themselves than for this crock who has done more harm to Indian IT business than Mumbai terror strike.

Wake Up Indians!By: Ananth | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 1:34:24 AM Reply | Forward It is wake up time for all of our indian brothers
Feeling sorry for whom?By: Anonymous | Friday , 9 Jan '09 23:28:15 PM Reply | Forward The employees of Satyam need to understand that Raju is a big thief. In a country where we lynch petty criminals, you are trying to feel sorry for this moron. If you wish your company to flourish again, please raise your integrity and maturity level.
Feeling sorry for Whom?By: Prakash | Friday , 9 Jan '09 22:15:55 PM Reply | Forward 1.The moron, for his greed on control, screwed everyone else. Now the future of all the 53,000 is not known; millions of small investors lost their money in a day (either direct investment/indirect investment thru funds); the pride of the nation became the shame of the nation. Satyam was the only Indian Software Company to have 3% operating profit, while the rest have an average of 20%. and this idiot reported 24% and fooled the whole world. I feel sorry for the employees who still think he is a gentleman :-(
