Bangalore: Faced with criticism for delay in showing respect to slain NSG commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on Sunday called on the soldier’s family members here, but a depressed father of Sandeep declined to accept his condolences. Hardly any national spirit !By: James | Monday , 1 Dec '08 15:06:24 PM Reply | Forward I think Marxist party in kerala functions like those Jihadi's striked at Mumbai. Cadres have to take higher up's orders and act; Cadres are allowed neither to think nor to ask questions. Both Marxists and Jihadi's go any extend to annihilate their opponents; Both of them have strict decipline and secrecy is maintained within. Cadres have to kill their opponents by throwing bombs, stabbing, torture or whatever. Marxists pay condolencs only for those fight for their party, not for the nation. Doubtful whether these rogues Achuthanandan and Balakrishnan do carry any national spirit at all!
Shame on VS act !!!By: Srinivas | Monday , 1 Dec '08 23:25:35 PM Reply | Forward Well said james..what Mr.Unnikrishnan has done is correct..he has told that he is not accepting VS's condolences..and not to visit..what these B******Ds doing at the time of funeral..today he is saying that"if he is not a soldier even a dog will not visit their place..its the honourable CM's real spirit....i really appriciate the courage of Mr.Unnikrishnan...
Shame on political scavengers By: Muralisk | Monday , 1 Dec '08 15:06:18 PM Reply | Forward What can be more shameful than this event. These bloody politicians have no common sense to address such moments and are trying to leverage the death of brave soldiers for their vote bank politics. I fully understand Mr. Unnikrishnan's state of mind and agree with him. No one should be allowed to derive any mileage from this event.
Old go outBy: chanakya | Monday , 1 Dec '08 14:44:13 PM Reply | Forward Dump these old wicked politicians in to dust bin. Let youthful leaders take over my country who can look at India as India and not as kerala and mumbai. Let my country be handled by leaders who can spade as spade and never afraid of personal lives.
communal epicentreBy: T. Jayaprakash | Monday , 1 Dec '08 13:25:16 PM Reply | Forward I am an avid follower of marxist politics in Kerala.THey are the most communal outfit one can think of in the country.Every move that they make are with communal advantage. In the present case of Sandeep Unnikrishnan's funeral, they were playing it safe.WHat they fear most is the muslim vote bank. They do not want to be seen as supporters of anything that the muslims hate.Even to act against terrorists is considered an anti muslim act. When they realised that the public mood was turning against them, they flew down to Bangalore with crocodile tears.A few months back a soldier called Thomas was martyred and the transport minister of kerala flew in to pay his last respects. The difference between Sandeep and Thomas is for anyone to guess.THey win on the strength of Hindu votes and work against Hindu interests in the state.Only Hindu's in the party are barred from any relegious affiliation while muslims and christians are encouraged to be devout believers.
MUMBAIBy: YUVARAJ | Monday , 1 Dec '08 11:06:47 AM Reply | Forward Dear Sir, I live in Mumbai and I am proud to say that our nation is united because of brave hearts like Maj. Sandeep. I am a frequent trekker and use to climb the Sinhagad fort regularly while I was staying in PUNE. I have seen many cadets on Sundays climbing the fort early morning. From Cadets to a responsible COMMANDO is itself a very great achievement. I am of same age of Maj. Sandeep and I feel shattered on seeing him sacrifice his life for the nation. Sir, please accept my condolences. It is high time that civilians must start taking training for self defence in order to avoid any such attacks in future, and not relying on the GOVT. for protection.
Mallu InstinctBy: Aby Chacko | Monday , 1 Dec '08 11:02:30 AM Reply | Forward Maj. Unnikrishnan laid his life for India, first of all the CM sholdn't have gone to his house to make some political stunt. Moreover the relatives need some privacy atleat to vent their emotions. I am a keralite, but sometimes feel that the mallus dig the family root upto the forth or fifth genaraions to see some mallu blood in an individual. So for them John Abraham is a mallu, the girl who spoiled Boris Beckers first marriage is a mallu and they are so proud in that.
You got it right on the money!!By: Suvi Nadakluzhackal | Tuesday , 2 Dec '08 3:12:57 AM Reply | Forward You got it right on the money!!

Congress Go Back!By: Abhijit | Monday , 1 Dec '08 10:39:57 AM Reply | Forward Let alone real Hindustani's rule India and not the idiots, who at the cost of peoples lives are ruling. Throw the Congress away from power who have taken political mileage at the cost of the Nation. Today we feel Britishers would have turned this country in gold if they had ruled more. Let us now bring serious Leaders who will build the nation with a strong force. Let BJP rule back in action, but with serious leaders like Modi of Gujarath.
congress go backBy: tommy | Monday , 1 Dec '08 13:29:52 PM Reply | Forward very excellent and well appreciated comment
Not by any political partyBy: Job Anbalagan | Monday , 1 Dec '08 11:06:52 AM Reply | Forward The menace of terrorism cannot be tackled by any political party, even by the BJP if it comes to power. Who is taking political mileage of this national tragedy for getting votes? You know the truth. We have to modernize and equip our police force and the intelligence network through professionalism. Modi or Advani is not the solution. The entire police structure right from Himalayas to Kanyakumari needs to be revamped by freeing it from politicians and from corruption.
Nice dreamBy: Who cares | Monday , 1 Dec '08 10:54:15 AM Reply | Forward Ha ha ha ha nice dream

No amount of praise suffice the kind of sacrifice, the commanodos, the police and even the hotel staff who have risked their life to save others life.In Snubbing the politicians, Major Sandeep Unnikrishan's father has proved that what he is made of and his family cares for, nation first and the rest next.I exprees my heartfelt sympathies to the family's of all those who died in this tragic incidence.
