UK doesn't feel Pak govt was involved in 26/11

New Delhi: Britain on Tuesday differed with India's view that Pakistan's official agencies could have had a role in Mumbai attacks even as it underlined that Islamabad has the "fundamental" responsibility to target the "roots" of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) which was behind the terror strike. India hoped that P  ....Read more

Nation of shopkeepersBy: Girish | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 18:41:33 PM Reply | Forward Put impediments to trade with Britain and see them admit that even Pakistan is occupying Indian territory!Nation of shopkeepers
Be alert BritsBy: chanakya | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 18:37:38 PM Reply | Forward Look at the face of the person. Looks like a diplomat who want no nuisance in his back yard. By standing with India he will have huge problem in his country with minority populace which he cannot afford. But he needs to undertsand that no area is far away to terrorists. In fact Pak is running National Rural employement gurantee in its own way. It is training its populace with arms and encouraging them terrorise the world to collect more money from the world as terror fighters. are they in any way better than Somalia poor pirates. ??
Brits!! Sound Sensible Please!!By: Ramesh | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 18:25:34 PM Reply | Forward One of the attackers was captured alive and he admitted to his nationality being Pakistani. However, the Pakistani state did a lot of drama in the aftermath of this man's confession, as well as his parent's confession. Then they started a war hysteria claiming various things and badly strove to incite a military conflict so that the issue of the attack gets drowned. Now they say, they will not hand-over anybody?! What did they do after Indian parliament was attacked? They just put the LeT CEO under house arrest for a few days and released him, and later gave him the Kashmir earth quake relief contract. All this goes to say what? That the Pakistani state is complicit or not? To an extent, one can believe if Pakistan says, it does not fully control its wild west, not so about its eastern border! LeT is the pet dog of Pakistani Military. If the world lets Pakistan off the hook, in the hope that they may not be attacked, then they are mistaken.

UK doesn't feel PAK govt was involved in 26/11 By: Anand Sharma | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 18:10:41 PM Reply | Forward We are absolute idiots, we are forgetting history and allowing crooks like Britain to pass judgements in our life/death situations. This is the same Britain who whipped us for 350 years, had a law in India that if Indians say it is my country India, they are committing treason against the queen and can be beheaded. The ones who crushed our 1857 struggle for Independence and used to send our beloved saint Mahatma Gandhi to long prison sentences for simple, true statements. They only understand force and the only reason they left India was that Hitler beat them up and they no longer had the power to hold on to their colonies. We should act politely but with strength, there is no other way to survive. We should strike at Pakistan terrorist camps and destroy them, WHATEVER THE COST, otherwise things will keep on getting worse with time. Pakistanis' are experts in befooling US and UK but they play along because internally they are jealous of India. Jai Hind!
Act nowBy: Ram | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 18:08:50 PM Reply | Forward I think the time has come to act decisively. It can be military or non military. The fundamental duty of constitution is sanctity to the lives of its citizens, not economic development. I think we have legitimate to hit pak. Forget about USA/UK. GOI is answerable toits citizens , not US/UK.
Some people never learn (like Miliband)By: Satindar | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 17:10:02 PM Reply | Forward From UK we cannot expect anything better . Mr. Miliband should keep his personal views to himself. Is he sure that the possibility of PAK involvement can be ruled out? No it can't be ruled out. In such a case the normal diplomatic practice is to keep quiet rather than act as a judge or as a middleman.GOI should give him a cold shoulder.
who is to blameBy: Ris | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 17:01:10 PM Reply | Forward Such statements reflect how the govt has handled the issue and what sort of diplomatic lobying is going on??? when our own pm and fm are making different statements ...what can u expect??
Pranab and foreign ministry must go.By: Prakashkapila | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 16:20:43 PM Reply | Forward Pranab has failed again. We need new resources and new approach. It seems our foreign ministry is not able to form a concensus in world comminity that Taliban and other muslim organisations are same, their goal is same, names change.Even though the results in ground prove our stand our officials
WE GOT TO LEARN OUR LESSONS By: B. SRIDHAR | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 15:37:49 PM Reply | Forward IT IS SLOWLY BECOMING CLEAR HOW THE WORLD COMMUNITY IS GOING ABOUT THE MUMBAI ATTACKS ESPECIALLY THE US AND THE U.K. THEY ARE SLOWLY BACKTRACKING AND STATEMENTS LIKE THIS IS NOT GOING TO HELP THE WORLD TO GET RID OF TERROR. ALL TERROR ATTACKS CARRIED OUT OVER THE WORLD EMANATES EITHER FROM PAKISTAN OR HAS SUPPORT BASE IN PAKISTAN. THIS IS A SAD TRUTH. AS REGARDS, THE ATTACKS EVEN A NOVICE WOULD CONCLUDE THAT AN ATTACK OF SUCH A MAGNITUDE AND THE WAY THINGS WERE PLANNED WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE STATE OF PAKISTAN. THE CONTRADICTORY LIES SPELT OUT BY VARIOUS PAK AUTHROITIES IS A TESTIMONY TO THE FACT THAT PAK WAS INDEED INVOLVED. WE SHOULD SUSTAIN THE PRESSURE AND IF PAK DO NOT OBLIGE THEN WE SHOULD ATTACK WITHOUT NOTICE. WHEN ISRAEL DESPITE OCCUPYING GAZA CAN ATTACK HAMAS THEN WHY NOT WE. WE HAVE A LEGITIMATE RIGHT TO ATTACK PAK.
Our IFS is bloody uselessBy: Binoy Kumar | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 18:37:57 PM Reply | Forward I agree with Sridhar. Looks like we have ended up in not having any reliable friends in international community. This has always been the failure of our foreign diplomacy. What for do we feed and pamper these IFS officers who merely drink champagne abroad and do nothing for their country? It nees a revamp, too, like our security apparatus.
Pakistan gameplanBy: venkat | Tuesday , 13 Jan '09 15:36:25 PM Reply | Forward India is repeatedly fooled by the world community in fighting the terror. They apply different yardsticks for different countries on how to tackle terror. By absolving state actors of any complicity in the terror, the world community has given leeway to the state actors to carry out such attacks in future and still escape the punishment and accountability. Pakistan would now on will put the blame on the so called non-state actors for all the attacks that is likely to happen in future inspite of the complicity of state actors in masterminding the terror attacks. This very move put India in a more valnurable position now.
