MOST OF OUR PEOPLE LACK THE BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF A DEMOCRACY. THEY JUST LOOK AT THE CASTE, CLASS, CELEBRITY STATUS, RELIGION OR SUCH INANE ATTRIBUTES OF THE CANDIDATE. MOST OF THE CANDIDATES USUALLY WIN BY BASHING THE OTHER CANDIDATES OR PARTIES. SOME CANDIDATES ALSO WIN BY BRIBING THE VOTERS. IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THE GENERAL VOTING POPULATION IS EDUCATED ENOUGH TO VOTE INTELLIGENTLY. SO, BLAMING EVMs IS JUST A RUSE.

EC should engage a group of experts from electronics and show things clearly so that even the common man can understand and keep faith in our system of election.

Advani doubts By: mohan | Monday , 6 Jul '09 9:01:37 AM Reply | Forward come on this is a joke .the old system if it was there the victory would have been dubbed by cpm Mr Advanis party as ballot stuffing and victory due to that. this present systum is much more fool proof than ballot papers. so please dont blame evm machines if the old system was in place iam sure the deafted parties would have said the victory was due to ballot box stuffing, the present voting machines ar probably the best in world. indian election commission and eletorate shouldget gold medal if therwas a gold medalfor condut of huge big election
