Hindu activisits have no escape, no way in hellBy: Vinay | Wednesday , 15 Jul '09 3:50:57 AM Reply | Forward How fashionable it is to always vilify ABVP and all Hindus. Why are Hindus with strong sense of being are hated so much. No matter what, either in court or outside, Hindu activists have to be wrong all the time. What gives? Are you people so brainless?

MrBy: Vijay | Tuesday , 14 Jul '09 17:47:47 PM Reply | Forward The facts are :(1) Professor Sabharwal was being threatened by the ABVP activists (2) The death is a direct or indirect consequences of this threat(3) The police personnel turned hostile.(4) The judge can only give judgment based on the evidence produced before him.Who are responsible for these murders going scott free?(1)Primarily the Congress Goverment who having ruled the whole country at Central and State level for about first 25 years miserably failed to bring any effective police and judicial reforms and who set the unwritten rule that people in power have no accountability.(2)All other political parties who have equally failed in the same way as above and in particular BJP who are incapable of disciplining their own supporters be ABVP or Ramsena. (3)The meek voters like you and me who have no guts to question the people in power or the non voters who only get active when their pants on fire.
Read the court verdict carefullyBy: Krupa | Tuesday , 14 Jul '09 16:50:11 PM Reply | Forward For all those who are rejoicing at the acquittal.. Read the court verdict carefully. The judge has actually criticized the prosecution for deliberately preparing a weak case against the thugs. Scenes of this Tomar and his fellow hoodlums beating up the professor was clearly shown on the TV. In Hinduism we treat our teachers are no less than the Gods. This barbaric act of killing of a guru, that to by the same self-appointed custodians of Hinduism is an obnoxious act that should be condemned in the strongest of terms. Today it is the poor professor.. If these evil forces are not stooped.. then tomorrow it could be you...
Read the court verdict carefullyBy: N.V.SANKARAN | Wednesday , 15 Jul '09 13:32:30 PM Reply | Forward As I had earlier stated, the judges acquit the accused saying that the prosecution has failed, badly failed or miserably failed to prove their(the accused's) guilt. The judge's statement that the accused might be guilty was unnecessary and perhaps he was an attempt to save himself from being prosecuted by the media. I do not know where you saw the video coverage of those ABVP activists beating the professor. But whatever was shown on the Times Now showed only some altercation that too in the presence of some policemen who were trying to control the crowd. There was no physical violence shown in those clips. Probably, the Media did not get enough time to manipulate the video as in the case of the Varun Gandhi CD where they had 12 days to superimpose the audio they wanted. Moreover, it is not as easy to edit video as the audio.
Sabharwal caseBy: Vaid S C K | Tuesday , 14 Jul '09 13:22:10 PM Reply | Forward Judgement acquitting all the accused should be more considered slap on the media. It was media which implicated first Dr.Talwar in Arushi murder case and then these students by independendtly arbitrating on the case.Better, media allows the courts to decide instead of shuffling on the half baked facts
MrBy: Arun Kumar | Tuesday , 14 Jul '09 13:02:11 PM Reply | Forward Enough of this trial by media. The law must take its course. If one is dissatisfied there are legal remedies available. Media is interested only in sensationalising issues. It has no love lost for Mr Himanshu Sabharwal. He is worsening his case by going to the media, as also stands in contempt of court.
WHAT NEXT.... Are we going to do anythingBy: Vikram Dhankar | Tuesday , 14 Jul '09 12:36:48 PM Reply | Forward The judgement is on expected lines and clearly potrays the systematic failure for our judiciary and witness system.. Having said that, are we going to accept the case decision or we citizens are going to get together to fight it out as Jessica or Mattoo case. Its high time we all get together and start a structured campaign. We all have in past witnessed the success of common men collective power and getting the accused to justice, no matter how powerful they are. I request all concerned citizens to start the campaign, get collected at India Gate, request the CBI to reinvestigate the case and take it forward. The judgement implies that Prof Sabharwal was killed by no one and its not the justice to a teacher who shape our lives...Regards, VD
All six ABVP students acquitted in Ujjain professor murder caseBy: N.V.SANKARAN | Tuesday , 14 Jul '09 12:22:35 PM Reply | Forward I am not quite sure that the allegations made by Mr. Himanshu Sabharwal and his lawyer is anything new. These days, it has become a practice for the losing sides to allege everybody in the opposition camp including the judge who pronounces the verdict which is not to their liking. In almost all cases, whenever the accused is let off, the Judges in their judgments do not say that they are not guilty or innocent, but only that the prosecution has not been able to prove the guilt of the accused and therefore, they are being let-off. This is what happened in this case also. What is more significant is that the case was transferred from a BJP ruled state to a Congress-NCP rules state to ward off any interference from the state government suspected of bias. And Mr. Himanshu's advocate was chosen by him and not by BJP or ABVP. Yesterday, I happened to see the video clippings shown by Times Now. Nowhere in those clips I could see anybody physically attacking Mr. Sabharwal nor was there any mark of injury(at least a blood-stain) on Mr. Sabharwal’s Body. . Even in a scene where the ABVP man threatens that they would shopw to what extent they would go, there were police officials controlling them and no physical violence was visible. Therefore, for any impartial observer, the allegation based on such video clips that he was beaten to death by anybody would appear to be a bit far fetched. Anyway, the prosecution has the option for appealing to higher courts. They can get a SC appointed SIT to inquire into the matters, instead of acting as accusers, investigators and judges all combined in one.
