It had no industry, very pathetic agriculture, although its space is very large. Since the liberation of the 1949, People's liberation army came to Xingjiang it has been changing from bad to better and better until now its economy is boosting and basic structure is almost set up in important towns and cities and people's life is getting prosperous. In the past cholera and even bubonic plague occasionally broke out in some places in Xingjinag, especially in southern region. People's liberation army sent doctor to the plague area helping the local people get rid of the plague. Take my fathe for example, he was an army doctor who often was away from home going to the rural places where cholera often broke out and gave medical aid to the diseased uighur villagers and cleanse the water resources and treated the waste of the diseased. Chinese deserve better freedomBy: Giri | Thursday , 9 Jul '09 22:28:01 PM Reply | Forward Chinese deserve better freedom. If it is denied, at some point of time, they will violently take it. China is a classic example that economic freedom doesn't necessarily mean political freedom. So long as Chinese economy continues to boom, the rulers can control the masses but when when economic woes mount, it will be like a dam collapsing. If the President of China has to abruptly rush back home for a regional disturbance caused by a rumour, then things are pretty serious. Vinni asks if India has its house on order. We have a chaotic order. There is definitely political freedom in India. If people don't like NDA, we could throw them out. UPA's continuance has been extended till 2013. If they perform badly they too will be booted out. We don't need to take to streets like in Iran. India is not perfect; for that matter, not even US, Britian etc are. But people's will prevails in all of these countries.
