Stop being WignersBy: viv | Friday , 30 Jan '09 9:13:10 AM Reply | Forward Typical Denial mode, blame others ,finger pointing..lack of introspection and no sympathy for the actual victims of the bombs blown by terrorists.Even Bin Laden is claimed to be polite and shy person....?? whats this non-sense going on.Azamgarh has been a found links with terrorists who killed many people and these people are going along with their rant of ..oh he was polite..oh i was searched at the airport ...oh we poor miserable muslims are being targetted by everyone ..oh islam is in danger....GROW UP ..you think other indians dont face any harresment..do you think you are the only ones who face difficulties ........
terroristsBy: tua | Friday , 30 Jan '09 9:04:19 AM Reply | Forward so, these terrorists are now using public rallies and the media to spread their propaganda and recruit more of their likes?
AzamgarhBy: J.M.Manchanda | Friday , 30 Jan '09 8:58:29 AM Reply | Forward The demonstration smells of politics. Those who are innocent should have nothing to fear. As for screening at airports, it is natural and as part of security precautions, we should unhesitatingly accept it. The right course is not to demonstrate on parliament street but to ensure that terrorists do not find a safe haven in your area. If a murder takes place in Noida, everyone says that the law and order there is bad. If terrorists are found to belong to Azamgarh, you can't help it getting a bad name. However, innocent people should not be harrassed.
Trust!!!!By: Senthil | Friday , 30 Jan '09 8:57:53 AM Reply | Forward The Police sometime take advantage of populist sentiments to drive home their policies. There should be some way to stop this. But what have you people done to stop terrorism stemming from your home town? You definitely are not going to tell me that your town was never part of that.. Let me tell you this.. India over the past few years have been losing its patience on the incidents which have been happening. The sad part is, I am lost the optimism of trusting anyone when I meet a stranger(imagine from your place). So if you have to be looked at neutrally, you can start showing your patriotism, instead of staying here and backing terrorists because they are from the same religion.
Please do not complainBy: Sumanyu | Friday , 30 Jan '09 8:36:57 AM Reply | Forward One, tow or three muslim youths do not make a whole Azamgarh. Azamgarh has been the breeding ground for terrorists ike Abu Salem who have no hesitation to kill, extort money, rape, create violence and so on. Muslim students instead of complaining have to prove themselves in the field of education first and then everything will get in order. And as Tavleen Singh has often reported in the Indian Express that madrassas are indeed the breeding gorunds of terror. Educated and suave muslims never send their children to madrassas. Ask Shahrukh, Salman, Saif Ali Khan or even an Imran Hashmi if they or their kin ever went to a madrasa.
Moslems should not be targettedBy: Dhiren Dixit | Friday , 30 Jan '09 8:35:42 AM Reply | Forward Neither Moslems nor Hindus should be targetted, but our dumb headed security agencies do not have either the training or the ability to do anything else, and their poiltical bosses seek political mileage out of everything.
root cause rallyBy: Suresh Iyer | Friday , 30 Jan '09 8:18:08 AM Reply | Forward In the rally organised by these suspects in Delhi, all the national flags used were hoisted upside down .It speaks immensly about the so called education that they get.It could even be a national crime. But none of our media have given any coverage about the blunder/.
Muslims-TerrorismBy: above and beyond | Friday , 30 Jan '09 7:50:53 AM Reply | Forward How is it authorities fault if they questioned Mr. Azmi at the airport? Afterall, many muslim youth from Azamgarh being turing out to be the "Homegrown Terrorists"? Just because he hasn't been harrassed in UAE, he cannot expect the same in India. In UAE, people who are involved in terrorist activities will not be even given a chance to prove their case in courts. No country should spare people who are involved in the killings of innocent people, let alone the terrorists.
Look into your homes and minds firstBy: Indian | Friday , 30 Jan '09 7:42:10 AM Reply | Forward I suppose the majority of people from Azamgarh have nothing to do with terror, but it is 100% fact that many who have been caught for terror links have been from this town.I would also like to point this fact....those from Azamgarh who are complaining in this news item should remember that they are cribbing even when they have been merely picked up on suspicion or perhaps proof, but what about us in the rest of the country who die in hundreds like in the Mumbai terror attacks? Do our lives count for nothing? Are those from Azamgarh first among equals? Is it their case that they should not be questioned even if there is a strong suspicion?Nothing doing. After all the brainwashing the alleged terror suspects have undergone begins in their homes as children. Those from Azamgarh should first introspect and take measures to counter the hate that emanates from within the four walls of their homes against the majority. No one can hate so called 'others' and expect to be love in return.Period.
