Seek damages from PCBBy: Anthony Joseph | Friday , 2 Jan '09 23:44:25 PM Reply | Forward BCCI cancelled the trip because the Government of India did not allow the tour to go ahead. In that sense I don't understand why should damages be paid. Infact PCB should pay a fine now that its clearly proven that Pakistani elements (NON STATE ACTORS - MY FOOT) were responsible for creating a atmosphere that is not suitable for cricket between the nations. BCCI should not pay a single dime to PCB instead it should be seeking damages from PCB.
Nation first and not BCCIBy: M.V.Muthu | Friday , 2 Jan '09 22:37:56 PM Reply | Forward In the overall context of the national interest, money is not an issue and the question of any monetary loss does not arise.
Penalty to PCB? I am not sure...By: Sandeep R. | Friday , 2 Jan '09 21:13:21 PM Reply | Forward While I agree that money is secondary to nation's security, I am not sure from the article that it refers to 'paying' any money to PCB. To me it reads like loss of revenue that would have come if the series happened and not any penalty to be paid. IE journalist could have been clearer though...
TACKLE PAKISTANBy: Rana | Friday , 2 Jan '09 20:15:56 PM Reply | Forward So what??? Do we not have any pride? Not only we cancel our tour, but anyone touring Pakistan should not be allowed to visit India. We must tell this to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Offer them good money instead of going to Pakistan. Make it an all out effort and not limited to only diplomacy or war. Stop the train and buses to Pakistan. We get nothing out of it except more and more spies coming in or arms being smuggled. What else can we expect from the pakis. Deal with them on all fronts. Stop their visas. Stop their singers coming in. Stop their actors/actresses coming here. If any one in India is patronising them, boycott them. We just cannot sit and watch our governments do nothing. We can force their hand. Do some thing or get out. This has gone on for too long. We can not be insulted by our own government's inaction. Jai Hind.
Don't give a dime. Give to the victimsBy: Ajay Date | Friday , 2 Jan '09 16:28:54 PM Reply | Forward All funds and properties of the enemy state are anyway confiscated. The $10million if given to Pakistan will get used against humanity again.don't pay them a dime. Instead, declare that these $10million will be distributed to the relatives of those killed.
Not playing against the Paki teamBy: indian | Friday , 2 Jan '09 15:46:43 PM Reply | Forward With an anti-Indian, terror sympathiser like Javed Miandad at the helm of PCB, India is right to refuse to play against Pakistan, especially in the current scenarios. There should not be any cricket unless that Miandad is kicked out of PCB. Having said that, I do believe we should give opportunity to some of the Pakistani players in our ICL and IPL as many of them are good human beings and are amongst the finest players of the world.
Miandad and Dawood.By: Hemant | Friday , 2 Jan '09 23:13:37 PM Reply | Forward Miandad's son is married to Dawood's daughter. India should probe this link. I am of the opinion PCB is run by Dawood using Miandad as proxy. Money earned by PCB can used against India in terror funding.
BEST EXCUSE to avoid defeat from Paki'sBy: Naveed | Friday , 2 Jan '09 13:42:12 PM Reply | Forward This is the best excuse I ve ever heard from U people, When u cant compete the Paki's u use the same excuse as ppl are saying ... so chickens better play wid ur street teams instead of competing with Pak.
Of course you are great!By: Ajay Date | Friday , 2 Jan '09 16:35:45 PM Reply | Forward Wise man had said that if you wrestle with a pig, both get dirty and the pig loves it. The question is whether you want to get dirty. We Indians prefer to be clean. Enjoy and wrestle with yourself. Soon you will have Pakistani teams declared by Talibans.
BCCI LossBy: Harinder Singh | Friday , 2 Jan '09 13:10:20 PM Reply | Forward It is better to lose any amount of money than play with enemies of humanity!
