Why war?By: Varghese | Wednesday , 14 Jan '09 20:35:24 PM Reply | Forward The BJP polititians are so short sighted, they cannot understand the impact of a war. Probably we can win the war, but it may take considerable time to achieve that. Pakistan better know our military superiority and may use the best they have-Nuclear Weapons. Consider the recession time and the impact a war can make to our Market. It will impact the foreigh investments and the foreigh based IT industry. Also consider the 50 lakhs plus employees working in the Arab countries. So was is only the last option. But we can continue to isolate Pakistan and weaken them financially. Also, we can help the groups to wage war within pakistan, similar to what they are doing to us. BJP folks only know war. But why we should go for war if we can inflict injuries to our enemy without firing a single shot? I think the current strategy is in the right direction.

Now India cannot isolate herself from her from the third world! U know one fact there are nearly 40 - 50 laksh of Indians living in Arab countries! This govt is so impotent that it cannot even take diplomatic steps. All the demarches and evidence given was thrown in to Dust bin and pakistan is making fun with them. The hijacking incident was a even bigger scandal, I still do not understand why they could not wage a war against a country like Afghanistan at that time or atleast mobilise international opinion on that matter.Is the present government weak - till now it appears from the outside, but I believe as a responsible nation and considering the economics of war it would be far better to defeat Pakistan in the diplomatic and economic sphere before taking them on militarily at a time of our choosing, not when it is imposed on us. There is a time and place for everything isnt that what politics all about. India should only attack Pakistan when it is completely ready for an all our war. No half measures and no surgical strikes - if Pakistani establishment refuses to take action they are much more guilty than the terrorists and are the real brains behind attacking us.

Morons Pakistanis wants to destroy us not wants proof. How do you expect US to do enough when they themselves are so involved in this affair? Even if Advani sent those terrorists that doesn't explain the stupid reasons of this Government not to do enough to stop terrorism. Why can't India do like Israel and create Protection Zones for itself? Even Indira Gandhi did so and this current Congress cannot compare themselves with her she was a strong lady these are mere cowards, they can't match to her. She fought Pakistan the current Congress is pleading. Shame on current Congress they have ill reputed Indira's name with their deeds. Unbelievable and we have some supporters of these here.

It was his duty to liberate our own land from the enemy. These two scenarios are not similar. It is only a political gimmick and misleading the people. If we have to do now, it is waging war with Pakistan, though I also feel not ruled out; but is it is the last option and to be weighed duly. In the present circumstances to me what India is to do is BOYCOTT PAKISAN IN ALL RESPECTS. Best way. Call back our Diplomat(s) Close the boarders for travel. Stop over flies of Pak over India. Stop the trade if at all is there with Pak. Completely isolate Pak with us. Be vigilant in the borders. Work hard to increase diplomatic pressure over Pak by International community. That is all No point in playing politics with Nation`s sensitivities
