British Biased Corporation? Terrorists in London, gunmen in Mumbai

New Delhi: The BBC, attempting to appear unbiased, has laid itself open to accusations of bias. A group of politicians in the UK’s ruling Labour party have questioned the BBC’s use — or its decision to avoid using — the word “terrorist” to describe the 10 men responsible for nearly 200 deaths in Mumbai an  ....Read more

BBC "Terrorist" useBy: Gary | Friday , 5 Dec '08 9:34:44 AM Reply | Forward The BBC refused to use the term "terrorist" to describe the suicide bombing murders of 1000 Israeli civiilians in restaurants, busses and bookstores from 2000 to 2005. They reserved that moniker for the 7/7 attacks in London and even the attempted bombings at Glasgow airport shortly thereafter. India, you are not alone. BBC bias is reprehensible. Rather than identify the methodology as "terrorist" in nature, they pretend the term refers to ideology--hence the application of the false principle "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter." Wrong--terrorism is terrorism no matter who does it--deliberately targeting and murdering innocent civilians for political purposes is terrorism--it's that simple.
Biased Bullshit Corporation By: Ashwin Shah | Thursday , 4 Dec '08 14:27:57 PM Reply | Forward A typial example was the unfortunate inident when the India soldiers entered Golden Temple. BBC desribed it as 'India Attacks Golden Temple..' whereas when the SAS (British Elite Fores)entered the Iranian Embassy it was described as ' SAS storms Iranian Embassy..' Main newscaster in evening wis a Pakistani woman. The former chairman of BBC had a son who was a muslim convert. The BBC has been biased from those days.
BBC knows what news meansBy: Harsh Taneja | Thursday , 4 Dec '08 10:33:01 AM Reply | Forward The BBC still presents news and analysis that no one else in the world comes close to. Avoiding the use of the word terrorist is merely being unbiased till evidence furnishes the appropriate use of a strong word. It reflects the lack of suitable front page stories for the Express, given the length and verbosity of this article

BBC are a disgraceBy: joseph | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 23:18:22 PM Reply | Forward The BBC has and always will have a left of centre bias, this is clearly shown in how it reports terrorist attacks perpetrated by Islamic terrorists, never will they use the word terrorist, instead they substitute the word with militant!. As a Dutch national, I can also confirm that the BBC is biased.
Biased BBC By: Gary | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 22:32:54 PM Reply | Forward As someone from Northern Ireland I would like to pass on my sympathy to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the disgusting TERRORIST attacks in Bombay. The BBC has been giving comfort and tacit sympahty to Terrorists for years and is a disgusting biased news organisation which the people in the UK are forced to pay for on pain of imprisonment. In my book a terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.
BBC Always Had A Bias.By: Vishnu | Wednesday , 3 Dec '08 21:53:01 PM Reply | Forward BBC has always been biased against India. Is it jealousy or superiority complex they always try to demean India's achivements. I remember when Tata Motors bought Landrover they had to add that Indians are poor and when ISRO launced a major sattelite they threw in Pakistan into the mix! Why? What has that to do with the New story? I have since stopped following the BBC.
