After all, any attempt at transparency in public life is the thin edge of the wedge which will finally abolish the privy purse of these new kings and nawabs.It has to be nipped in the bud, otherwise the great unwashed Indian public might be asking impertinent questions of their lords and masters. And we thought only soldiers and terrorists used human shields!
