Singur, September 16:: Scaling back the demand that the ancillary units of the Tata Motors' Nano project at Singur be shifted across the highway to the opposite side of the site, Trinamool Congress on Tuesday said these can be built on 100 acres and the main plant on 600 acres even as it hinted that its agitation is   ....Read more

POPULATION CONTROLBy: RAJSHEKHAR PAUL | Wednesday , 22 Jul '09 16:20:32 PM Reply | Forward Didi, I know you are Railway Minister. Inspite of that, I am writing, please discuss at parliament and register a bill at about population control. I think, except population control the progress of India is not possible. The control should only come through a strong law, that everybody shall have to follow. Being an Indian I think this is the right time to control this and proceed for future development. I have another request to you, please look into the matter, that every development work should monitored by an individual body about it proper progress, quality of work, time frame
Beat them up By: D.Bose | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 9:43:28 AM Reply | Forward Trinamul Congress is a party of criminals. Its leader is a self centered ugly disgusting woman who made life hell for everyone by frequently blocking roads, railways, organising meeting on the intersection of important roads in Calcutta and Hartalss. There is no end of it. It is essential for the sake of Bengal to send her back to where she came from ---Bangladesh.
Either solve Singur or leave: Mamata tells WB GovtBy: manish | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 7:02:48 AM Reply | Forward why is she not leaving singur or politics
Singur StalemateBy: Bhaswati Roy | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 6:56:35 AM Reply | Forward For the sake of industrial grouth, all parties should accept whatever the farmers want. If the farmers agree to accept cash in lieu of their land that must be honoured. It is not understood why the state government is giving compensation now when they have already acquaired the land for the car factory? This issue should have been addressed before the project started. It will be a great loss to the state of West Bengal if the Nano Car company moves out of West Bengal. Did the state government handle the issue rightly?
Mamata,'s love to SingurBy: anil bharali | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 6:51:34 AM Reply | Forward Democratic dicussion and constant democratic resistance by the people in favour of right cause is the only way to check psychopathic political leader.Facism is the hidden force behind her agenda .,Farmers' cause after withdrawal of the support left to UPA is a nasty motive of Mamata is rightly dicussed by peolpe now.
What is Mamta upto in SingurBy: Jamsheed Basha | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 7:52:45 AM Reply | Forward What is Mumta doing in Singure. She is blowing hot and cold there. She has not firm policy and has created a mess there in Singur. She should realise that the industrial development is important for the State of West Bengal. If the interest of the farmers were to be affected does she thinks that Communists would have ever permitted the Nano factory there. When West Bengal Govt run by Communists have no problem, what is the problem with Mamta there. She is trying to politicise the whole issue as the elections are round the corner for parliament. She is playing with the emotions of the farmers there. If there was any problem with regard to the sale of the lands of the farmer, they could have protested well before the factory was constructed. Now that it is about to commence its business, protests of this kind is only to extract something else from the TATAs. This is not fair. West Bengal Govt should act firm as TATAs would move to safe haven in other States who would be too willing to accommodate the request of Nano factory. Then it would be a great loss to the people of West Bengal. What Mamta is doing is not in the interest of the youth of Bengal. It is certainly going to affect their future as well as the future of industrial growth in the state. This is something she should seriously think about and analayse the pros and cons of her agitation. Let good counsel prevail over her attitude towards Nano factory and sooner the better.

Mamata Banerjee By: JESRANI B.D. | Tuesday , 16 Sep '08 22:08:57 PM Reply | Forward MAMTA SHOULD LEAVE... IF SHE CAN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM CREATED BY HER!!! THE OF BANGAL WILL REGRET AT THE LATER STAGE.. AT THAT POINT OF TIME, IT WILL BE TOO LATE TO RECTIFY MAMATA'S BLUNDER!!!

Why bengalis are silent?By: Dr.Swetambar | Tuesday , 16 Sep '08 18:54:10 PM Reply | Forward The attitude of common intelligent bengali is not at all clear. why so many are silent on a vital issue? As is perceived, nano plnat is likely to open lot of opportunities to locals and the transformation is sure to be amazing. It is unfortunate that Tata have decided to go to WB; they had seen that Haldia will help them in exporting the vehicles and the break even will be quite faster. There were ample alternatives to establish the unit as several states have come forward with proposals
