In US they have started cultivating bio-fuels on a large scale basis. This is also a reason for increase in food prices. The consumption of pork has increased in China and this means chinese are feeding the animals more and thus this increases the food prices because the animals consume much more food than human beings. China and US are exporters of Wheat,corn etc. ,but now if this trend continues the prices of food are bound to increase.
