In a country like India where Govt is unable to provide security to all the required entities what's wrong with a private-public partnership !Big industrialized nations have the same structure. At least this will create some sort of deterrent to future attacks on corporations. At one end people are complaining about lack of security and if the funds are channeled in that direction another set of people complain about lack of basic amenities. So in this scenario a private-public partnership is the best idea. And for the spineless thing, it runs in each political party.

In public sector even now we have some sort of transparency. If the things go to the hands of private companies and individuals, it will bring more chaos than security. They can misuse their power against people and sects which they don’t like. You would have read about the issues happened in Iraq jails and how the US had to suspend the deals with private companies.

Criminal code has already been weakened, and environmen protecttion laws are next in the line. Maybe the baby Gandhi is drawing inspiration from Columbia, where this is how drug lords run the country? Pls don't use terms like PPP mindlessly. It refers primarily to infrastructure projects. State cannot run away from its prime commitments - security, education, and healthcare.
