Permanent Seat for India on the Security CouncilBy: Bala Varadarajan | Thursday , 3 Sep '09 12:28:09 PM Reply | Forward Permanent seat on the Security Council implies that the Country is strong and can play role on the world stage to provide security to the rest of the world. India is not even in a position to protect the lives of its own citizens and has allowed a rogue state (i.e Pakistan) to get nucleur capability. Terrorists in Pakistan with the help of the Government machinery can strike at will anywhere in India. Permanent seat for India will make a mockery of the Security Council.

ALSO, JAPAN ATTACKED PEARL HARBOR TO KEEP USA ENGAGED ON THE PACIFIC SIDE SO THAT HITLER CAN WIN ON THE EUROPE FRONT. SO, JAPS DESERVED WHAT THEY GOT.

US support for UNSC membershipBy: S. Kumar | Sunday , 2 Aug '09 22:25:54 PM Reply | Forward Should India and its "intellectual" media be surprised by this news? Why would the USA like to treat India as a co-equal if the honourable Indian leaders have already agreed to be treated as a subservient nation, as indicated by the Sharm declaration and India-US deal, which they of course thought would serve India's "national" interest? Is it not a fact that India was one of the last nations to be contacted by the new US President? Does not it appear that India have already granted the USA the right to consider itself as a "Yes Sir" nation in a silver platter?
UNSCBy: Ramesh Chhabra | Friday , 10 Jul '09 13:42:25 PM Reply | Forward India has right for UNSC seat. Lot of countries is agreed for full support to India for UNSC seat. In case US did not support for UNSC seat, India should cancel N-deal with US. .
Limited choice of USA.By: Ashim Kumar Chatterjee | Friday , 10 Jul '09 13:41:09 PM Reply | Forward Bipolar world ceased to exist with transformation of Soviet Russia and demise of socialist bloc. In a sense world became unipolar with USA as numero uno. But USA is no longer omni powerful and faces new challenges and limitations. The recent economic melt has already shown the need for restructuring world economic order in which USA would be a significant but not an overwhelmingly dominating power. Similarly, USA is increasingly becoming dependent on international community beyond the limits of NATO as is evident in it's war against terrorism. One does not see how USA can prevent restructuring of UNO and give others, from Asia
unscBy: ak | Friday , 10 Jul '09 10:28:37 AM Reply | Forward as a common man we wont consider ,this as a big issue, we have a lot other issues to be solved. we need a regulatory Bord for politics and politician. we need a permanent friend ship with pakistan ,through that we can deduct more than 1000 million usd from military budget, this amount can be used for our basic development. we need more industries to be started, we need more oil refinery and more researchs in this filed, we can cut down imports, and can save more money.we have to develop more war/planes/ships other military equipments for our own use and exporting. we have to take more precautions on anti -terrorists action.if we have the intention in our blood to do all this !!! other reward and recoganization will come automatically including, unsc permanent seat...jai ho..

comparison with chinaBy: subbarao | Friday , 10 Jul '09 7:37:55 AM Reply | Forward dear Sir: All the unscrupulous businessmen, a totally diconnected Government of India with its people; reservation and foreign appeasement policies with thoughtless people as ministers listening to crooks and buffons from abroad with no self respect and dignity are much more important for us to correct instead of saying we should be like China, a country of slaves and sleepless domestic servant of the western nations selling everything including underwear it has at faster rate including the cash thus earned back to west. Be gald we are not China, although we are heading along those lines selling our rock, garment and shame for cash from abroad only to deposit that amount back into banks abroad for their use and economic prosperity. Let us all raise our hats and salute Mr. Manhohan Singh for renting the country and its resources, manpower to foreigners for ever with his economic and foreign direct investment as a easy way, the lazy way and the only way to earn money and destroy us.
UN By: GNS | Friday , 10 Jul '09 3:54:48 AM Reply | Forward It is premature for India to even broach this topic when we are nowhere near even China on any measure : literacy, health care, infrastructure, industrial production, standard of living and integration with the world economy.Just look at steel production : China produces 1.5 million tonnes of raw steel per day ! Where are we ? About 3 million tonnes per month !China integrated with the world economy much more than India and still has NOT suffered from the present crisis worldwide.India MUST de-regulate its economy and free Indian entrepreneurs from mind-boggling delays at every step of business process.Indonesia is certainly doing a better job than India. There BABUS are given strict time limits for many business registrations.India too should. There should be a clamour for India's presence rather than we pushing ourselves. That comes when we improve on all the variables mentioned above : hard. But India is NOT judged by how the elite of India lives and enjoys life.
