IAF Vice Chief's latest:By: n.r.i.(oz) | Monday , 23 Nov '09 16:21:20 PM Reply | Forward I could not agree more with the IAF's Vice Chief. He has had the courage to speak up against the politicians who are ultimately responsible for defence purchases! I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY India is going for SECOND-GRADE eqpt.from Russia (which by the way is NOT CHEAP!).It has been proved in many wars that Russian military hardware comes out SECOND BEST when pitted against western military hardware!
IAF Vice Chief’s latest: Politics stalls defence purchases.By: Abdulmajeed Khan Advocate | Monday , 23 Nov '09 0:18:37 AM Reply | Forward Respected Sir. Statement of the IAF Vice Chief depicts, crystal clearly, the story of efficiency of our ruling party. Italian thief got exonerated by misuse of official machinary, but, no heed is given to the points raised by this High officials. this is the voice of Armed Forced addressed to the PM, which requires his urgent attention. Mr. prime Minister, during the period of Hon'ble Shashtari ji, under his prime ministership, the whole nation had been observing fast for two days. I remeber onces on the day of fast, I have taken meals, my father had beaten me. that is the story of my 6 yearsage. Please dont believe in US or China or any one , creat your own world.
DEFENCE AND POLITICSBy: NIRANJAN | Sunday , 22 Nov '09 8:45:37 AM Reply | Forward ON ONE HAND I WOULD LIKE TO COMMEND BARBORA FOR SPEAKING OUT. ON THE OTHER HAND, CAN I ASK WHY IT TOOK HIM SO LONG TO SAY THIS? IS IT BECAUSE OF LATE HE HAS NOT BEEN GETTING HIS CUT?
Defence and PoliticsBy: uday | Sunday , 22 Nov '09 19:13:46 PM Reply | Forward Well done Mr Niranjan, you have certainly proved that ignorance is BLISS and that is why your last comment is reprehensible and vile. You and people like you are there only to find fault and do nothing. Here is someone from the establishment who has chosen to speak up against the system and being heard selflessly and we are finding motives there too!!! Your comments are in very bad taste.
Air Marshal Barbora deserves PVSMBy: arun lal | Sunday , 22 Nov '09 8:32:40 AM Reply | Forward Words spoken by Air Marshal Barbora are those of an observant intelligent and fearless military officer. Thank you Air Marshal for telling the truth. Wish there were a lot of other officers like you. People of India thank you. Hopefully some of our dhoti and lungi netas take heed.

Vice chief's latestBy: op sharma | Saturday , 21 Nov '09 16:17:42 PM Reply | Forward Thank God someone has spoken up. When shall we learn to speak our minds out irrespsctive of consequences. For one pk there are hudreds of spineless admirals, generals and air marshals who just mark their time for next rank or appointment as governors. The nation must take note and wake up our bureahcrats and politicians. AJT has taken almost two decades for procurements after avoidable loss of lives of our pilots. The secretary appointed to look into anamolies in pay commission managed to degrade LT Gen. That services didnot have member on pay commission and three chiefs had to speak to the PM fo growing frustration in the ranks; list is endless. Buck PK! we need more of your clan than self seekers. It is too obvious about what they will do to you, let media handle it as a challenge. what you said is a fact. lets not fool around with country's defence.
Defence Purchases.By: Karavadi Raghava Rao | Saturday , 21 Nov '09 13:58:27 PM Reply | Forward Defence Deals are with full of corruption. If it is reduced to the minimum then there will be definitely improvement.
INdi's Defence m Might By: Karavadi Raghava Rao | Saturday , 21 Nov '09 13:25:51 PM Reply | Forward Regarding women what Mr P.K Barbora said is correct. Those who are prepared to sacrifice their lives for the country will also be ready to postpone their motherhood. But regarding Defence purchases Etc he should follow the service rules and regulations and also the secrecy.Pakistan is fearing about Indian Might. Former Governer of J&K KVK Rao said that Pakistan could wiped out within two hours or even less by India.
General (Need) of the HourBy: Ramachandran R | Saturday , 21 Nov '09 12:31:53 PM Reply | Forward Don't Just call him Flamboyant Air Marshal...He deserves more than this.. All I'm afraid is that he could soon be sacked or posted out to an insignificant office only to intimidate him.... We don't need Generals / Admirals / Marshals who prefer to to be PA's to the politicians.... It's time to give them a free hand when it comes to country's defense.... Politicians of this country ...do remember one thing..."If India is Bombed by China or Pakistan...their bombs will not know if you are a politican or a common man....You will have to depend on the valour of these men in Uniform.... It is our duty to givem the respect they deserve and give them a free hand in augmenting and maintaining security and sanctitiy of this soverign nation... Kudos to Air Marshal PK Barbora...
Politics stalls defence purchasesBy: rajendra singh | Saturday , 21 Nov '09 10:23:15 AM Reply | Forward Nnothing is wrong, whatever has been said by ViceCAS.This is need of country, so, someone has to take initiative to remind our goverment/politicians.
