The reason for China claiming Arunachal Pradesh as its own is based on its claim over Tibet, which was actually forcefully invaded in 1959. The 6th Dalai Lama of Tibet was born in the present Arunachal Pradesh state of India and had strong cultural ties with this area. The Chinese line of reasoning goes like this: Since Dalai Lama is a spiritual and temporal leader of Tibet, and Tibet is "part of China", AP has to be part of China. It is in India's interest to take active part in resolving the Tibet issue if it were to resolve its border problem with China once and for all.

The Chinese claim on Tibet comes with the advent of Kublai Khan, a Mongol, when he incorporated Tibet under the Chinese realm, the rest of the Mongol empire being divided into other realms. Since then Tibet has been nominally independent, autonomous or under direct Bejing rule, depending on the various dynaties that ruled China.The Chinese, to tell the world that Tibet is hstorically theirs and that under no circumstances will they allow secession, reacts in a pretentiously fierce manner in response to any dispute concerning the boundary abuttng Tibet and to convince the world of this charade. Consider, if you will,that in Tibet the Hans are thousands of kilometers away from their habitat. In this they are no better than the Anglo-Saxon, and a nation of expansive colonialists that seeks to consolidate what they have conquered. Inda now faces the brunt of this attitude.

We have had leaders who can at best be given a C minus for the way they have brought the country to its present state after 60 years of independance. One may argue that we are better than what we were when we got our freedom. Sadly enough, we are worse off. On one side Pakistan wants Kashmir, on the other China wants Arunachal Pradesh. On the third front we do not have good relations with Bangladesh or Nepal or Sri Lanka.

Devegouda, Stalin Karunanidhi , Prakash Karat and Sitaram Yechuri will very gladly undertake to rule this teritory. (b) Bequeath East Punjab and Kashmir (remnant) to the charming Pakistanis (c) Rest of India, could be presented to the Chinese taking precaution that Dharmshala with Dalai Lama and Tibetans are secured to the UNO. (d) Sonia Vincy and her brood could be kicked back to Angleterra for cleaning duties.If wicked fanatical Sangh Pariwar doesn't like this solution and still wish to get rid of the yelllow fever, then they should learn from friendly Israel the trick they employed in 1967. Loose Pakistan in 20th century, forgive, forget and move on. Go to United Nations to ensure that Kashmir becomes a disputed area. Fight for Bangladesh and run away without any long term understanding. All the while, Chinese expansionists have been watching. They see India as a weak nation. In their foreign policy planning documents they see India as unable to rise to greatness due to internal squabbles. As an example of India's cultural decline, while India continues to produe (bad)leaders like Lalu and Dave Gowda and every "Dal-Badlu" thinks of becomming Prime Minister, China is competing with United States and Europe and threatening to overtake. Come on Children of Ashoka the Great and Vir Shiva Ji and Jhansi Ki Rani ! Wake up! Educate yourself, be intelligent, plan ahead and execute your plan with knowledge and courage.
