Gun Massacres in Australia since 1987By: John Edmonds | Wednesday , 17 Jun '09 16:08:56 PM Reply | Forward A lot of mental illness in Australia can be traced back to the Convict Past. White Convicts were brutalised
blame gameBy: Arun Kumar | Monday , 15 Jun '09 19:41:30 PM Reply | Forward Kudos to Aussies for beating up Indians. Let the Indians understand the pain of discrimination, pain of other students and citizens of India getting beaten up by fellow Indians in the name of caste, religion, language, state etc

Attacks on indian continuedBy: RG | Wednesday , 10 Jun '09 15:18:32 PM Reply | Forward continued... But this is no reason to block roads and protest and disrupt normal lif. This has brought more attention to the indian community even in suburbs where no one noticed us. It has made us noticible targets. And then we have the Indian media as usual showing the coverage a million times in a day on the television and driving every one mad. The attacks are sad but there could be better ways.
Attacks in AusytraliaBy: RG | Wednesday , 10 Jun '09 15:13:50 PM Reply | Forward I am an Indian residing in Melbourne. Personal view about indian students is not very good (not all students). There are a lot of Gujrati and Punjabi students lately in Melbourne. ONe should notice their behaviour when they are in a group in public transport. Talking loudly, abusing, staring at women, passing crude comments. Not done all these kind of behaviours. YOu are in a foreign country and you should respect how they function and not do what you do back at home. This kind of behaviour attracts attention. You should look at Indians visiting Gurudwara on Sundays at Blackburn suburb. Good that they visit but look at them crossing the roads. In 100s but they wont use the pedestrain crossings. They will cross the roads just any where they feel like and stop the traffic. This will attract attention. There are many other issues. I agree the attacks are not right but this is not only happening to Indians but to other community also.

sick and tired of on going attacks.By: sam chopra | Tuesday , 9 Jun '09 22:02:17 PM Reply | Forward I dont understand this young Indian genaration, why they are so passive.I thing enough is enough. My young Indian students studying in Australia, should have some protection plans about themselves, instead of submitting to those crazy MF's they should retaliate.gear up bro, carry chain around your waist or brass knuckle,if these crazy bone heads show any kinda threat, defend your self. You should have a policy tit for tat.Bro Gandhi giri is not gonna work.Defending you have right to defend your self.I m not saying go on a bashing spree, only in case of you feel threatened.
may be its a 50/50By: indian student experience part 6 | Tuesday , 9 Jun '09 15:58:55 PM Reply | Forward Now that this issue of hate attacks has come up,it also points to indian behavior. Not all indian students r same. Some are meak, respectful, courteous, shy etc but there are those irresponsible lot who think they are the best and their public acts are least impressive. These people need to step-up and review their behavior in public (n towards aussies). However if aussie youths are only targeting indian students because they are setting down or taking jobs, then wake up,Indians are just a minority. In that case once Indians are done with, then who is next in line to be bashed n sent back?I guess any immigrant.By the way what do aussies hav 2 say about majority chineese who settle down n taks most of jobs. The average chineese student stays in their own group n doesnt usually ask for trouble. So certain indian students need to review their behavior for sake of their counterparts and also image of their country.Somebody mentioned cricket.True mate, that also had a part to play.
Criket / JealousyBy: Afzal Ahmed | Tuesday , 9 Jun '09 12:34:22 PM Reply | Forward Recent Indian Criket victories has lot to do with these racist attackes. After the Australian exit yesterday I wounder the condition doesnot get worse.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself to use this podium for for missionary purpose. We are not here to convert to your religion but make a point on raciam and bashing of Indians.....Yes Indians...not chritians. You think those aussie bashers will spare you if say,"Hey I'm a Malyali Christian...I only look Indian! you can't bashme!!" ????
