'Indians operated as if there were no hostages'

Jerusalem : Israeli counter-terrorism experts have slammed the way India handled the hostage crisis in Mumbai, especially at Nariman House where Jewish people were taken as captive, saying the "colossal failure of intelligence" and slow operation meant there was "no chance" of rescue. Acknowledging that I  ....Read more

It is easy to comment after the incidentBy: An Indian | Monday , 1 Dec '08 13:23:23 PM Reply | Forward It is easy to comment after the incident. If the maximum force was applied immediately and there were casualties then also it would have been criticized. Israelis are criticizing because their fellow citizens died. I would like to know what was their comment in 911 incident. Do not criticize for the sake of it. Yes we agree you have lot of experience and we value it. We value your advice and help in gaining the experience but your comment is uncalled for. Accept that the job was done under very trying situation.
Mumbai terrorBy: S. Kumar | Monday , 1 Dec '08 13:23:19 PM Reply | Forward No one is doubting the bravery of our forces. However the fact is that Israel is very experienced and quite successful at responding to terrorists. It is sympathetic to India. We should appreciate constructive criticism and be less prickly and get off our high horse. The whole world knows that our intelligence and methods are shambolic.
'Indians operated as if there were no hostagesBy: Manoj | Monday , 1 Dec '08 10:19:36 AM Reply | Forward It is easy to say things sitting in cool offices after the incident is over. It is much more difficultu to execute operations at the spur of the moment at the scene of carnage. Hats off to our armed focres who recused hundreds of people. Not one peoson was killed after the commandos took charge of Taj and Oberoi!! Great!!
'Indians operated as if there were no hostagesBy: VA | Monday , 1 Dec '08 15:06:05 PM Reply | Forward I am guessing you read it in the news? The forces were brave but they lacked co-ordination. The Israeli counter-terrorism experts slamming is apt. We indead acted as if the hostages were dead. Which infact was true to a great extent.
Its a Shame to publish thisBy: Sajana | Monday , 1 Dec '08 9:34:57 AM Reply | Forward After all that the indian commandos have done to save the country from SHAME... the least we can do sitting in AC room watching the news on TV is NOT publish such articles that critisize the BRAVE who protect us... instead we should be defending our soldiers against these diplomats.
True that we fought, but israelis know how to deal it better than usBy: manu | Monday , 1 Dec '08 10:37:08 AM Reply | Forward Israelis have been doing it for quite a while. They are much more prepared than us. So that are speaking from their experience. Learn from them, even if it is bitter. Take it in positive sense. Unlike we Indians, israelis view each of their lives as precious and worth a 100 kills in return of one.. So learn from them if we need to survive the assaults awaiting us
Yes,By: Derick | Monday , 1 Dec '08 9:20:32 AM Reply | Forward Yes, agreed. Hope we all learn lesson from this rather than critising the comment.
Re: Israeli CommentsBy: SP | Monday , 1 Dec '08 8:55:39 AM Reply | Forward Israelis....back off.....we Indians have lost more people in this attack then your people. Although we feel sad for you, we dont think you should open your mouth at the wrong time. India does not operate on American technology like you do and we like to do things our way, whether it is acceptable to you or not. So back off........
