Is Preseident Obama Different? By: aqmamin | Friday , 19 Jun '09 17:08:44 PM Reply | Forward The Israelis are using their usual political manipulation by calling Obama pro-Palestine for making just one of the four important conditions for peace in the Middle East ( namely, stopping settlements, Other Conditions: Right of return, Compensation, International borders, Israel pulling out from Gaza and West Bank). Obama is like any other past American president pro-Israel, there is no option, no alternative, no choice. Either the President remains pro-Israel or ready to be indicted on some false charges and thrown out of office . By extraordinary skill, if he is able to hold office for four years, it is most likely that he loses the second term as it happened to a more moral conscious President like Jimmy Carter. It is a real tight rope walk for any American President. Let us wait and see the outcome of President Barack Obama. We wish him luck.He looks and acts differently and can he achieve more desirable results?
PALESTINE : PEACE NOT APARTHEID: BY JIMMY CARTERBy: aqmamin | Friday , 19 Jun '09 16:56:17 PM Reply | Forward For any lasting peace on the issue of Palestine, the following are necessary (1) Israel stopping settlements on Palestinian territory (2) complete pull out from Gaza and West Bank (3) Right of return of Palestinians or adequate compensation (4) A Continuous well defined Palestinian nation with international borders with its own military and security with a corridor connecting the West bank and Gaza( not a Buntustan). In his so called historic speech in Cairo, Obama mentioned only about stopping settlements, even for that the Zionists are making a big hue and cry and call Obama the enemy of Israel. My Lord, I can not imagine what will happen to him if he insists on all the above four conditions. I beg your IE readers who take serious interest on the question of Palestine to read former U.S. President Jimmy Carter’s unbiased book: Title:PALESTINE: PEACE NOT APARTHEID. No man with any conscience will agree with the Israelis if he approaches the issue without pre-conceived ideas.
