Irresponsible Mamata !!By: Sharad C. Misra | Friday , 19 Sep '08 4:25:13 AM Reply | Forward TATA would be well advised to wind up their Nano project in Singur and shift to Karnataka or Uttarakhand. That would be the best way to punish Mamata Bannerjee whose sole aim is to become the CHief Minister of WEst Bengal with the support of the Congress party and is least bothered about industrialisation of her State.
Dont invest in KarnatakaBy: naveen | Friday , 19 Sep '08 3:32:44 AM Reply | Forward The Tatas being minorities shouldn't not invest in a state where the ruling party is actively encouraging its supporters to attack minorities.
How about rudrapurBy: mrs charulata | Friday , 19 Sep '08 0:12:53 AM Reply | Forward Rudrapur in Uttrakhand would be a better choice.

YEDIYURAPPA IS A GREAT CMBy: MARY ANN | Thursday , 18 Sep '08 21:01:09 PM Reply | Forward Yediyurappa is the best Chief Minister that Karnataka has ever seen. He has invited Tata Nano plant. He is a great visionary.Yediyurappa is great. PLEASE KEEP IT UP YEDIYURAPPA. GREAT JOB. hE IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS CHANDRABABU NAIDU. HOPE THAT HE CAN ALSO SLOW DOWN OR STOP THE RAMPANT CORRUPTION IN KARNATAKA. IT'S SO DISGUSTING THAT THE POLICE ARE SO MUCH CORRUPT IN KARNATAKA AND ARE ON THE TOP OF THE COUNTRY'S CORRUPTION LIST. WHY DOES EVERY POLICE SUB INSPECTOR BEEN AUTHORIZED TO COLLECT A CORRUPTION OF 3 CRORES OF RUPEES?
Locate the Nano plant in the South or the WestBy: Paul Krist | Thursday , 18 Sep '08 17:47:55 PM Reply | Forward The unseemly politics and administrative bungling which surround the Nano location problem at Nano can become a thing of the past. The Tatas should move to Bangalore, indeed a Western or South Indian location, where labour is more disciplined and productive. Bangalore, Pune, Chennai are some good possible alterntives to choose from. The govts. would be happy to support locating the Nano project with ample land and infrastrastructure.

Centre should intervene, take contol of fuzzy situationBy: Rajat | Thursday , 18 Sep '08 14:24:39 PM Reply | Forward The Centre and state must draw a line of things that comes under centre and things that comes under the state. There could be areas where it is fuzzy to delegate the responsibility to centre and state. This area should remain under the control of the state until or unless the centre intervene and takes control from the state.Centre govt. must invoke the policy. The issues that can be handled better by centre i.e terrorism, water distribution, water harvesting, city planning, pollution control, etcThere must be a central guide map for the states for other issues that does not come in Proview of the centre. This guide map must be regularly updated with the latest trends and standards of the world. All the states must be able to access this master guide map. There should be a system in place for doing this. The centre on the other hand should refer to the international guide map that it should make in consensus with other countries of the world.
Centre should intervene, take contol of fuzzy situationBy: Rajat | Thursday , 18 Sep '08 14:22:55 PM Reply | Forward Govt. should act promptly set targets so that 100% of Indian vehicles runs on Biodiesel B100. To achieve this all vehicle/ factories/ railway engine/ thermal power station etc should be Biodiesel B100 complaint in couple of years and no statement should come from the govt. that in next 10 years. Govt. can act quickly then Y it needs time? Create awareness among the Cotton farmers of MP, Rajasthan etc about the benefits of growing the desert plant used as raw material for producing food quality Biodiesel.Other things that should be looked for is lubricating the machinery of vehicle/ factories/ railway engine/ thermal power station etc. For vehicles applying drops of water on vehicles wheels can improve performance as resistance between road and wheel would be reduced. This would be applicable for the case when the driver avoids risks and drives slowly.
