Initial mistakes was by the UK as it should have given separate country as they did for Singapore and Malaysia. Tamils tried Gandhian way of fighting to regain their rights and the Raciest Goverment of Sri Lanka took anrm and in return the LTTE emerged like the IRA in Ireland. IRA achieved independence in Ireland as the UK is a civilised country it realised the peoples revolution cannot be contained and it the civilised way to give them the independence. Why the Sri Lanka is adamand in waging war and killing the ancient civilised race in that island. It is the time for the world community to join and may be with the help of the prospective President of the USA Hon Obama, who understand the minorities feeling, to help the Tamils in Sri Lanka, in achieving their desired goal of independance, whatever way can. India must be honest in helping the Tamils.

Before knowing what the Srilankan and the Indian Government is going to do practically to the suffering Tamils in Srilanka, Karunanidhi has pulled off the threat. It is all alliance compulsions. He cannot do without the Congress because he stands isolated from all his old alliance partners. Once again it was all rhetoric by Karu. After all he is the grand old script writer in Indian politics. But whatever it is, let us hope for the best for the Srilankan Tamils. A request to Karunanidhi now - what is the point now in holding Vaiko and the Directors in jail. Release them soon. Funny politics!!!
