No One Is Above The LawBy: Sabtukalilima | Sunday , 16 Nov '08 6:50:06 AM Reply | Forward A few years back Kanchi Sankaracharya was the main accused in the Sankararaman murder case in Tamil Nadu. The case has been remaining unresolved due to political interference. Anyone has any news on this case? The present case of the arrest of Dayanand Pandey, is similar involving his suspected role in the Sep 29 Malegaon bomb blast killing six people .The followers of the BJP think that religious leaders are above law and no investigation can be conducted against them. It is for the intelligent to judge whether their view is right or not. BJP wants a reduction of this issue fearing a drop in their vote bank. No one wished and expected that the heads of the Sankara ,established to uphold Hindu dharma, would stray from the path of dharma and doctrines of shastras to stand as accused in murder cases or wanton killings of innocent people by bomb blasts. At the same time, when all the evidence clearly pointed towards them in the doing of such crimes, that could not be ignored
