Monopoly religion

New Delhi: It is deeply sad that a most gloriously inventive, radical and genuinely pious religious community like the Sikhs now seems to be frequently hostage to a regime of internal intolerance. Not only was this tradition founded on the premise of an astonishing synthesis; it allowed an amazing interna  ....Read more

FOR THE WHOLE MANKIND SIKHS CAME TO PLANET EARTHBy: Harinder | Tuesday , 2 Jun '09 20:09:41 PM Reply | Forward Khalsa I think are trying to from an "exclusive club" in the SIKHS .Something like the Nazis tried in catholics. The message of SIKHS was for the welfare of whole mankind and not for Khalsa alone.
monoply religionBy: manjit singh juneja | Tuesday , 2 Jun '09 7:49:23 AM Reply | Forward A few bad sikhs here and there do not make sikh religion bad.The hymns of sikh gurus entered in guru granth sahib are said to have come to them directly from Akal Purakh( God) As such these are commandments of GOD to attain mukti(salvation). Not only sikhs but all humanity can benefit out of this. Some intellectuals the world over havegone to the extent of sayingthat sikhismhas the potential to become world religion.I am of the opinion that amritdhari sikhs were created to fight the tyranny of moghul empire. Those conditions being not there now,the sikhs can suffice to be kesdhari sikhs only.No further dilution should be allowed.
FanaticsBy: george | Sunday , 31 May '09 10:13:29 AM Reply | Forward These same Sikhs in the entire Arab gulf region quitely follow the rules
Sikhism is a universal religionBy: Vasdev Singh | Sunday , 31 May '09 8:54:46 AM Reply | Forward Suresh says that "Sikhism was founded to protect Hinduism".As a check,I made a search on the web and found a site "Victoria and Albert Museum" which seemed to me relatively more neutral. The first paragraph of a short description under the title Sikhism gives a clear enough purpose and mission of the Sikh religion. It goes as follows:"A man called Guru Nanak started Sikhism in the late 15th century, in the Panjab area of northern India. Nanak was unhappy about the social divisions in society and about the conflict between people of different faiths. He said that there was one God and everyone was equal in God's eyes." May be this was one reason that made Rev. H.L. Bradshaw proclaim that" Sikhism is a universal world faith...a message for all." Bertrand Russell even goes on to reproach the sikhs,"..the sikhs have not brought out in the broad daylight, the splended doctrines of this religion which has come into existance for the benefit of the entire mankind." This is their greatet sin

Fanaticism of FewBy: NP Karze | Sunday , 31 May '09 0:24:59 AM Reply | Forward The Muslims and Sikh are most disliked ethnic group is due to the fanaticism of Sikhs and Muslims. For instance some Sikhs refuse to wear Helmet while riding a motorcycle or in construction jobs where its mandatory for all employees wear appropriate safety gears. Some fanatics Muslims want to wear burka even for their passport photo. No wonder people will hate you for not following the established safety norms.
There is a wide difference in Religion and Dharma.By: Suresh | Saturday , 30 May '09 22:16:09 PM Reply | Forward The Sikhism was founded to protect Hinduism from barbaric invasion of Mughals. Sikh brothers have forgotten this fact and they believe that they are not part of Hinduism. There are more than 200 shlokas of Saint Namdeo Maharaj which are part of Guru Grantha Saheb. British have fed false things in Shikh community and today we observe fanatism due to these wrong things.
Sikhism must be separated from its SymbolismBy: Jas | Saturday , 30 May '09 18:34:19 PM Reply | Forward The Sikh's have reduced their religion to mere long hairs and turbans. This identity make them look bigoted and religious fanatics, and prejudice other people perception of them. I don't find it surprising that Sikhs are one of the most disliked group. The so called religious leaders of Sikhs are illetrate and too stupid to realize this. Any person who talks sense is immediately labelled as anti Panthic and decried from platform of Gurdwaras, which have been the taken over by militant jat Sikhs, all over the world. The only good thing that is happening to Sikhism is that people born in this religion are shedding the so called 'Sikh Identity' at an alarming rate. So much so that majority of Sikh girls are not willing to marry the Sikh boys who wear their religion 24 hours a day. Two things Sikhs must realize are that 1.Religion is bad and wearing it and rubbing it in other people eyes is even worse, 2. Religion and politics is an explosive mix.
White men's Problem:Zilch CultureBy: indian to the core | Saturday , 30 May '09 17:46:24 PM Reply | Forward Actually people like Jason are saying so because there is no Religon left in the West. All that White men want is WWM(Wine, women and money).Europeans and Americans are hated every where due to their filthy culture. The European Union is already a feeble entity. What else can one expect from people where 10-12 yrs old teenagers become parents? The American Empire too is in a collapsing mode. This is not to say that there is no problem with Sikhism but the problems of white men are of mammoth proportions.Due to Indian religious values Indians are hardworking and intelligent whereas White men want easy money. This is one reason for Indians being attacked in Australia.Europeans,Americans,Australians have money but no culture,no religion and so they are in a collapsing mode.Countries like India and china are future rulers of the planet. This is a reality which white men are afraid of and so they start attacking Religions. The problem is with an individuals thinking and not his Religion.
Sikho, kuchh sikkho.By: surendra | Saturday , 30 May '09 17:02:33 PM Reply | Forward Sikhs are very hard working, sincere, healthy and good looking people. But the doctrine of being warriors that is sowed in their blood stream and genes does not leave their personality. It is in their system. They will fight any opportunity they will get. It does not apply to all Sikhs because I know a hell lots of them to be decent, considerate and intelligent people. But to some extent they are as insecure as Muslims. You talk about their religion they have no tolerance to hear scrutiny. They take it personally. Sikhism is changing more into a way of life than a religion. Please do not take it as a criticism but take it as an eye opener, and work on it. Sikho, kuchh sikkho.
