Kathmandu: Nepal’s Minister for Culture today said the Government will not obey the Supreme Court order staying the appointment of a priest believed to have been handpicked by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to head the Pashupatinath temple. NEPAL IS NEW HEADACHEBy: Raj | Monday , 5 Jan '09 17:54:42 PM Reply | Forward Shame on Indians who are mute spectators to what is happening in Nepal. Nepal is becomming a big headache for India. China is making entry into the region via Nepal. Maoists are hell bent upon destroying institutions in Nepal. India's zero foreign policy has led to this situation. Terrorists take flights from pak and enter into Nepal and finally land freely in India. India is hapless spectator. Why do we have soft bordes with a hostile country now. There are no takers for pains of PashupatiNath in secular India.
To NepalisBy: Kiran | Monday , 5 Jan '09 17:03:42 PM Reply | Forward To Nepalis,I am reminded of a saying from a serial of bygone days; "its your p****, do what you want to do with it".
CommiesBy: Surendran | Monday , 5 Jan '09 17:00:59 PM Reply | Forward This is a standard practise followed by Communists. Destroy anything and everything connected to Hinduism. Sometimes you get a strange feeling that the Commies are funded either by the Church or Taliban
understand the meanin of religionBy: kum | Monday , 5 Jan '09 15:15:33 PM Reply | Forward The way Hinduism is practiced by few, wanted to be authoritarian of this religion, the religion will die a natural death. The true text of ancient Hindu mythology never said to discriminate but we have discrimination based on cast in this religion. Hope some thugs understand the meaning of religion or humanity before its too late.Nepali citizens have every right to discontinue the Indian priest as this is their country. We have accept facts happening in Nepal and make India free of cast practice. These small steps are a step to make India a powerful country.Hope the rational sense prevails among the rulers of india.
Pashupatinath templeBy: Darshan Suyal | Monday , 5 Jan '09 14:50:17 PM Reply | Forward It is not about who should be appointed as head prist Indian or Nepalese, question is about intention, what they want. They want to draw a line Indian Hindu or Nepalese Hindu. They want communist government as per written rules, no religion, no capitalism bla bla bla. It seems they are getting orders from where else. China is a obvious guess. Tibet is China’s well known lab. If anybody raises doubts against India. He/They should see how and why India is suffering. India divided into three pieces India Pakistan Bangladesh, but still we have 20 crore Muslims. You should study do / should we trust muslims of Pakistan, Bangladesh or even Indian muslims. BUT IN INDIA NEPALESE ARE TRUSTED, MORE THAN INDIAN CHRISTIAN/MUSLIM. This is call bonding. Communist government do not want this.
Indian Priest in NepalBy: Rajesh | Monday , 5 Jan '09 10:16:22 AM Reply | Forward India does not allow foeign religious workers in India. So, let us not allow Indians also to be religious workers in other countries. Let India call back all its religious workers giving services in other countries. If India does not allow foreigh religious workers, other countries also have the same right. Others also have the freedo to be narrow-minded. Let us not complain. A friend told me that this priest is converting poor Nepali Buddhists to by offering money and jobs in India.
communism at its worstBy: anshul | Monday , 5 Jan '09 12:12:27 PM Reply | Forward this is wrong to say india does not allow foreign religious workers. jewish rabbis and christian pastors being prime examples. and this is not a reciprocal arrangement, it is religious belief. just becuase hindus do not kill thier opponents nepali communsit and htier indian counterparts are treating hinduism with contempt
Priest Issue By: Chetan Kattel | Monday , 5 Jan '09 6:43:39 AM Reply | Forward I am very much pleased to hear that for the first time in the history of that country nepal, one nepali is appointed as the head priest of the holiest Pashupatinath temple. Now the unaccounted amount collected in the Pashupatinath(the amout that the devotees pay in the name of Pashupatinath) will be utilized. Opposing by the political parties in that country is very normal and it is their religion. Nobody in that country ever dreamed of abolishing monarchy except the maoist. No other political parties have any role in this regards, the whole world knows it. By this appointment, maoist accepted one another big challenge in that country. I simply did not understand that why the supreme court didn'n support. Anyway, Nepal SATI LE SAREPAKO DESH HO! Any good decisions are always failed, that is why we Nepalese janatas are always in the darkness. I do not support any particular party. I always support for the right decision for the country, it may be kale/gore or any party.
