ACCOUNTABILTY OF JUDICIAL OFFICERSBy: ANOOPAM MODAK | Saturday , 14 Nov '09 10:31:54 AM Reply | Forward The introduction of Judges Standards and Accountability Bill in forthcoming session of Parliament will do away with the prerogative and privileges of the Judicial Officers of the country, which otherwise have been offending the RIGHT TO EQUALITY envisaged under the CONSTITUTION OF INDIA. Judges are not imported from heaven and are very much part and parcel of the society in which we live, who are prone to commit mistakes. the proposed Bill, when transformed into ACT will keep the Judges alert all the time. Another aspect of the proposed bill is the assertion of political supremacy over the Judiciary.
FIRST IMPROVE YOURSELFBy: NAVIN ASTI | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 19:24:18 PM Reply | Forward Politicians in general and congress in particular should stop luring officers in various authorities like judiciary, CBI, Media,EC for favouring their thinking, even though not in National interest.Favouring Mr.Q of Sonia's birthplace,Giving job to a judge before General Elections of 2009keeping aside code of conduct,Gifting in cash/kind for winning vote of confidence and managing to get Amar and Ahmed out speak much about MMS/Sonia's Congress to loot the country in the name of service.First they should get clear. That is what India needs.
Law is made so that the Goonda congress can break themBy: freddie | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 17:03:35 PM Reply | Forward Law is made so that this corrupt govt can break them. If the law is there why there are so many idiot politician roaming around having criminal records. India is nothing better then africa. In India we have politicans bullying the public where as in africa polictican are looting the public with open hand are not scared of the UN. corruptionBy: YOHAN | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 14:59:32 PM Reply | Forward while we welcome this step, we request the govt to consider all other areas irrespective of their political or eligious affiliations. political corruption is at its peak. that also need to be eliminated. it should not happen that small party corrupt leaders can join big parties and they will be exempted from the corruption cases. madhu koda probably will get a relief if he joins or supports congress, just as we have seen in cases of mulayam, lalu, mayawati, et al.. this should not happen. also parliament should be devoid of criminals. a legislation in this regard also needed to ensure that crimed accused leaders are not contesting the elections.
JUDGING JUDGESBy: KRISHNAN.S | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 14:54:28 PM Reply | Forward Please bring legislation to book politicians who take the issue-caste-in their hands to wriggle out of tight for temselves or to save others the latest example being caste card exhibited by the senior most politician of Tamil Nadu to save an erring(?)judicial luminary.

Accountability for politicians?By: L G Murthy | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 13:17:23 PM Reply | Forward It is a welcome step. At the same time, we will have to work out a code of conduct, accountability concepts for all the politicians especially MLAs. MPs and all Ministers. The way the scams are being brought to light (Koda now, Lalu in the past etc.,), there is an urgent need for clear cut laws, special courts( speedy trails in 6 months time minimum) it is reported that Koda a man of 4000 crore fraud, will be tried under sec 420! What a shame.
LEGISLATION TO CURB CORRUPTION IN THE JUDICIARYBy: S Prasad | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 12:28:45 PM Reply | Forward IT IS JUDICIOUS TO BRING IN LEGISLATION TO STOP CORRUPTION IN THE JUDICIARY. MOILY'S REASONING THAT ''JUDICIARY CANNOT BE KEPT IN THE SAME ROOM WITH POLITICIANS'' THOUGH MAY BE SOUND, HE IS EVADING THE ISSUE OF RAMPANT CORRUPTION AMONG THE POLITICIANS, OF ALL SHADES OF COLOUR, WHO POSE GREATER THREATS TO THE STABILITY & SECURITY OF THE COUNTRY. INDIAN MEDIA SHOULD SCRUTINISE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE POLITICIANS TO GUARD THE COUNTRY AGAINST THREATS FROM ANY SOURCE FROM WITHIN.
BILL ON JUDGESBy: KRISHNAN.S | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 12:23:36 PM Reply | Forward LOng over due.Let their be one for policians also
