Night without end

It was the enemy within that routed the BJP in LS 2009.

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi, her son and party general secretary Rahul Gandhi deservedly get all the credit for soundly defeating the BJP and the umbrella NDA in LS 2009. BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate L.K. Advani’s ambitions all fell flat as the Congress made huge dents into the BJP ter  ....Read more

Party President! By: Shirish | Friday , 22 May '09 12:52:18 PM Reply | Forward Even those like me who have been voting for BJP for nearly 20 years, will stop doing so if Rajnath becomes/remains the face of BJP. The BJP that we were fond of meant Vajpayee, Advani, Arun Jaitley. Not to suffer Rajnath Singh who neither has a mass base (Vajpayee) nor has a media face (Jaitley). Rajnath has successfully managed to demoralize all those in the party whose passion had contributed to tremendous success of the 90s. Arun Jaitley should be the party president

BJPBy: vibhaas | Thursday , 21 May '09 1:11:37 AM Reply | Forward BJP really needs a complete overhaul. The elections have come and gone but the party needs a full and complete change. Right from the ads to infighting to lack of reparation of the guys BJP was sending to TV was all just pure and simple bad. What is currently BJP's vision ad startegy nobody knows. Even though the party has lost at this point it still has many sypathisers amongst people especially well to do people and for the sake of the country BJP needs to revive and if Mr Advani even though unfortunately he couldn't be the king can leave behind a successor and a plan to revive the party. He would have left a huge legacy for the coutry and a huge Service. india needs a strong principal opposition. Following needs to be done. 1: Dump the old and bring in total new leadership in all states where BJP is not ruling. Monitor current state govts closely. Take the Friends for BJP movement forward, get young professionals involved. Dump all old useless issues which divide like ram temple etc
Let's learn to respect the people's mandateBy: Sharat Chander | Wednesday , 20 May '09 10:29:19 AM Reply | Forward @RaameshIn a democracy, the people's mandate is supreme. The people have spoken - and they know best. If they chose to give themselves these leaders - so be it. There's no point deriding the people of this great nation. History has, more often than not, proved them right.
credit got the congress for what they did in the last 5 years By: jatinder singh | Wednesday , 20 May '09 9:59:19 AM Reply | Forward People has shown faith in the party because of the selfless leadership, got through the ordeals like nuclear deal, less of politics more of work because pm is not a politician he is a known economist and has team of its own. I wish the party all the best for there next tenure.
Desertion of BJP BY MIddle classBy: Mangala Prasad | Wednesday , 20 May '09 9:04:44 AM Reply | Forward One of the reasons for desertion of BJP by middle class has been due to its meek submission to increasing caste based reservations . This has sent a general mesage that BJP also does not mind increasing castiesm and is no different from others.
Another Elitist BJP supporter's egotist viewpointBy: imran | Wednesday , 20 May '09 7:58:10 AM Reply | Forward another "elitist" bjp supporter. The electorate people are idiots and he is intelligent. haha. grow up dude.

Congres won - typical indian mentalityBy: ashok soni | Wednesday , 20 May '09 2:28:10 AM Reply | Forward Its 2009 and still Indian people (especially Congress workers) can not come out of "RajaShahi" They have to be slaves of one family. What kind of Degree Rahul has does not matter...He is from Gandhi Family is more important. How many indian people give their assets to daughter or their kids? but when it comes to Gandhi family.....??? I have seen typical Indain mentality in outside USA also. I wish I was born when Sardar/Gandhi/S.Bose were leaders. Its unfortunate Nehru was or first PM. Indian people has to come out of shadow of Gandhi Family. We need fifth front which has some rules, no cast, no criminals, Candidates has to declare their assets first, No PM or cabinet post after age 55(we need new blood) etc.....we need one more Gandhi who can defete Congress(Italian Party) just like he did with Europeans. BJP defeted because of Advani....I like BJP not they way A.Bajpayi ruled India. They are also same as congress when it comes to power.
