10th Board Examinations arent a burden to studentsBy: Suma | Friday , 26 Jun '09 15:33:42 PM Reply | Forward I am not an educationist. However I would like to express 10th exams must be continued.Students learn to work hard young, putting in additional effort in studies and get to learn the fundamentals of all subjects, whether it is Science, Maths, Social Studies. With the board exams, a student learns to prepare to face life and to become competitive.I agree that many students fail in the exams, and many dropout from schools. That doesnt mean that we must do away with examinations.Schools must be instructed to follow the subjects, text books prescribed by the boards. Probably the boards can put a restriction to the number of note-books the students have to carry to school. Even in software companies, exams are conducted, if an employee has to survive in the company he must pass the various certifications that are made compulsory,so why shouldnt we do away with even these certifications.I fear that with this decision many of the children would become useless and not be able to do any work.
