New Delhi, September 16:: Under pressure to quit over his handling of internal security, Home Minister Shivraj Patil has said that he will go if the Congress leadership wants him to step down. CONVERSION WORSE THAN TERRORISM AS A DIVISIVE FORCEBy: Mohini Kale | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 7:45:43 AM Reply | Forward In South Korea,Christian missionaries have turned a peaceful Buddhistic country into a Christian majority country, just within 20 years. They talk of 'milk of Christ's mercy' for the poor and the suffering, but it is the poison of divisiveness. They talk of Christians (converts) as a peace loving people nowhere near the Islamists in cruelty and terrorism, but the aggression and hatred they sread against Hinduism and their vital symbol of religiosity, their deities, and the fraudulent miracles performed in the midst of huge crowds of the guliible poor are worse than terrorism. TREMENDOUS SENSE OF UNITY AND NATIONAL HONOUR EVEN IN THE FACE OF SO MUCH INFILTRATION BY THE CONVERTS IN ALL WALKS OF LIFE ARE DEMANDED FOR HINDUS, IF THEY WANT TO SPREAD THE VEDIC MESSAGE OF UNITY OF ALL ECOLOGY AND PROSPERITY WITH SPIRITUALITY AS THE ONLY SAVING PRINCIPLE FOR OUR WHOLE WORLD. We don't need to ask for others to change religious labels,as these missionaries(MERCENARIES) do for political power.
ConversionBy: Jayant | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 12:02:16 PM Reply | Forward you are absolutely right. A few days ago a group of people, in a very organized way, were flooding the IE message board with obscene and filthy language about Hinduism. The degree of penetration of these propagandist is menacing. They are inside IE, in the media, in the govt, every where. It is amazing how well they were trained in propagating hatred. It appears now that these Christian groups are worse indoctrenated than the Talibans.
You are rightBy: RO | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 8:30:59 AM Reply | Forward Agreed, come forward and spread awareness to conter wicked amlafied and ulterior motives of missionaries.
Home Minister or servant of Sonia GandhiBy: gnsetty | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 7:05:40 AM Reply | Forward Shivraj Patil shames the cabinet post by saying he stays because he enjoys Sonia's confidence. This brings back memories of Indira Gandhi's dictatorial rule in 1970s.Here in Australia with average life expectancy over 85 any minister over 60 is considered old and makes away for the young. But in India our ministers die in office or thrown out of office by voters. But they won't resign ministership or party posts till literally physically forced to do so.All ministers act like princes of old India but with little education,no compassion,no appreciation of arts except the art of running a hidden mafia of voluble supporters. These terrorists are well educated and skilled in many ways and our police with world war II weapons and a lathi are no match.Till India recruits the brightest with market based salaries plus latest surveillance equipment with no politicians hovering over them or using them for themselves, these terrorists will have a free run.
A progressive, iterative and programmatic course correction requiredBy: tick | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 6:38:46 AM Reply | Forward The central ideal in our Constitution is that a Cabinet Minister reports to none, and is accountable to the Constitution and to the citizens and works at the pleasure of the Prime Minister. Lal Bhadur set the loft principle by quitting per his conscience. Likewise SP Mukherjee had quit on political differences. These were lofty decisions, taken in a spirit consistent with what is implicit in the Constitution that policy utterances and decisions of the Cabinet Minister represents the voice of Sovreign India. It is upholding of this Sovreignity which is at stake here and it is sad indeed how we have relegated ourselves over the years. The fault lies not with any particular individuals, Indian intellectuals, the government officials, the journalists, lay public , all of us are to be blamed for this system corrosion and continuous devaluation. A progressive, iterative and programmatic course correction is required to restore the basic trust in the civil rule of law to prevent terror.
Hidden AgendaBy: GPaul | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 5:36:33 AM Reply | Forward It raises an eyebrow and an eye openeor to a grand conspiracy against Hindus as the meeting was chaired by Maino Antonio Sonia, A.K.Anthony, Margret Alwa, Ahmad patel, manmohan singh. They should bring out the entire deliberation which occured in the meeting.
patilBy: Rajan | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 3:12:34 AM Reply | Forward So there was one Shivaji who defeated mighty moguls with handful warriors and protected hinduism. And then there is this ShivaRaj home minister who with entire might of India has proved useless and spineless to even stand-up forget any stern action against jihadi terrorrists who are killing Indians. Indeed India has become like Iraq, MidEast where a common man can just die while incompetent ministers like Shivraj Patil remain firmly seated after so many failures. shame on this useless maratha. As a maharshtrian I apologize to all India for giving our country such an useless gutless maratha in charge of nation's security.
cues in a way give an inkling of the predicament By: tick | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 4:19:11 AM Reply | Forward This kind of thinking within Hindu identity, and this Maratha business is a sure recipe for disaster and negates the very idea of India. Mr. Patil needs to be complimented for taking a non-partisan and judicious approach to tackle terror. As an Indian, in this difficult hour, would like to extend support. The task of maintaining peace is an onerous one and as long as we walk the straight and narrow path of law and legal action, the inter-community trust, which is the utmost need of the hour shall be maintained. There is also need for more institutional support and mechanisms to thwart terror, and hopefully the emergent threats would lead to political galvanising and additional funding to create an effective counter-terror setups. ----The present statement, which upgrades the politcal processes from vesting trust in an individual to an abstraction is a welcome upgradation of thought. Such caliberated cues in a way give an inkling of the predicament faced and the need to emerge out of it. His former role as a Speaker does enable assimilation of a wide range of perception, which is perhaps the singular ability most needed for this complex and difficult role.
SHIVRAJ NEEDS TO RETIRE TO ENJOY CHANGING NEW DRESSES EVERY HOURBy: Bhao ravPatil | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 3:08:42 AM Reply | Forward THIS MARATHI GUY IS SHAME ON MARATHAS NAME, HE HAS NO SHAME, IF HE HAD SHAME HE WOULD HAVE LEFT LONF TIME AGO, AND SPEND MORE TIME CHANGING DRESSES

Shameless PoliticianBy: Sanjay | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 2:37:58 AM Reply | Forward I have never filled proud on our political leaders (any political party leader). They just bother about their Vote bank nothing else. For them India always come last and their own interest comes first. You can see even our leaders are not united against national tragedy like serial bombing in various cities, Bihar and Aasam’s flood situation, Kashmir problem. Each and every political party does only politics on the current issue which we are facing. They are not ready to united and solve problem. Instead they are cooking their political “Kichadi” on our dear ones dead bodies. They are really shameless people on this earth. You won’t find any such political leaders on any country. You can see what Home Minister (useless and shameless) is saying. Does he really deserve to be home Minister? He is there just because of his loyalty to Gandhi family. He has no any other qualification. After each such incident he repeats same statement just like Popat (Parrot) .
Patil and his ClothsBy: A. Pradeep | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 2:36:41 AM Reply | Forward The Home Minister has no cloths that can hide his incompetency!
Is he a "manoos"?By: G. Din | Wednesday , 17 Sep '08 0:50:13 AM Reply | Forward This man says, he will go only if his"leadership" wants him to. Did the people of India farm out the governance of India to his"leadership" and that"leadership" subcontracted the Home Ministry to him? Is he responsible to people of India who pay his salary, perks etc. or his "leadership"? Above all, does he have any self-respect at all? What kind of a "manoos" is he?
