New York, October 24:: US Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, already leading Republican rival John McCain in opinion polls, got a major boost to his campaign with the influential 'New York Times' newspaper lending its endorsement to the Democrat, commending him for possessing ‘a cool head’ and ‘sound judgement’. Mc PalinBy: B. Angie B | Thursday , 30 Oct '08 4:15:34 AM Reply | Forward I keep hearing republicans say that Sarah Palin is the most popular Gov. in America but no one seem to know her. Who is this woman! Like many others I never heard of her before and if she is so qualified, why does she have to be subquestered and not takeinterviews by the mainstream media. She should be able to talk into a camera and we have a right to know her record just as the other candidates. I am sick and tired of her talking about Barack Obama and that he is unamerican, what about her and her husband ties to the Alaskan Independant Party, thats news. Another thing lets talk about those 100 and some relatives and close friends that she appointed jobs who did not quite qualify for one while she served as Mayor and as Gov. There is much more to Ms. Palin and I am sure that her closet is full of secrets!!!! And would someone tell the Mc Palin campaign that the scare tactics just are not working. They really think people are stupid, guess what, were not.
Obaaaaaama/McCainBy: Ven Psarthy | Sunday , 26 Oct '08 3:01:19 AM Reply | Forward The merits of the two candidates apart, what scares the voter is the prospect (not implausible, considering McCain's age and health))of the Governor of Alaska becoming the President. That is really frightening. She is a tyro with no clues on vital issues.
NY TimesBy: martin davey | Sunday , 26 Oct '08 1:12:00 AM Reply | Forward Nobody reads this paper outside NY. Its readership has declined dramatically. Its financial condition is a mess. Once credible and respected, now biased and irrelevant. Not hard to understand why.
B. Hussein's written wordBy: Bill Butler | Saturday , 25 Oct '08 23:34:33 PM Reply | Forward Read this B. Hussein's books, before you cast your vote. He says what he will do and what he believes.
NYT's endorsementBy: Raghu Sankaran | Saturday , 25 Oct '08 22:20:59 PM Reply | Forward NYT's earlier endorsements were totally out of sync with the overall American mood. Their opinion has never really mattered. Just like the overall media opinion in India. For example, The Hindu has always stuck to an opinion which was contrary to what the average Indian wanted. This is an endemic problem with all these so-called liberal newspapers.

NYT is extremely biasedBy: Madhup Rathi | Friday , 24 Oct '08 17:52:05 PM Reply | Forward New York Times has NEVER supported a republican for President in last 30-40 years. So much for objectivity! Why does Indian media put NYT on such a pedestal, knowing its onesided views.
New York MinuteBy: samarth | Saturday , 25 Oct '08 7:14:58 AM Reply | Forward You ought to think objectivey not by pattern.
New York MinuteBy: Raghu | Saturday , 25 Oct '08 22:23:10 PM Reply | Forward Madhup hits the bull's eye, samarth. NYT has always sided with the losers -- just like The Hindu in India...
